My social life is like a roller coaster. Sometimes I won't have any plans for a month, and then other times I'm hanging out with people twice a day and then again at night, but every time I fall into a slump I find myself turning to drugs as a way back into the social scheme. This is how things go most of the time. I'll have more or less no friends. Then I'll buy some weed or something, talk to some folks and they'll want to go get high with me. Some of my other friends will see me hanging out with people again and want to go downtown or to a movie with me, then im done with the drugs. With my social life back on track I usually meet a girl and then I tend to get really caught up in that and the rest of my life suffers, when the relationship is over i find myself back at the start and thinking about doing drugs again. Even when I don't meet a girl something usually has the same effect, sports, school, something like that. Anyone have any ideas of how I can keep my social life on track without having to resort to drugs?
Well,first of all,you're soooo not alone!We all experience some slumps in our social lives at times.The key is learning to enjoy a little alone time,spend some time on positive things you enjoy.Maybe writing or video games,or a certain sport,drawing,anything productive you like to do.It sounds to me like you tend to overload yourself with things,whether it's things to do or emotions you have.Also,any friends that keep encouraging you to do drugs or only want to hang out with you when they see you do drugs,are not TRUE friends at all!!!Drugs are definitely NOT the road you wanna take!!!!!Surround yourself with positive things and people that make you happy and keep your mind off of drugs.And that keep you from wanting to turn to drugs as soon as some stress enters your life.If you find yourself unable to stop thinking about or doing drugs,or unable to cope in a tough situation w/o them,then as much as you don't want to,it might be time to seek some professional help!!!I wish you all the best and I'll be thinking about you!!Please check back with me and let me know how you are!!!!

i recently saw my best friend (we'll call her A) and with my other best friend(B) like we are all best friends, and the other day B was showing me all the things that A gave to her for birthdays and halloween, and A didnt get me anything for her birthday, while i got her two very expencive pant that i had to return because they didnt fit! and i always give her(A)a ride to the mall and i even pay for stuf like i would spend 20$ on her when ever we go out because i buy her pop corn and everything! and then one day we went to the mall and we saw buy one get one free, and i took the one free and everyday she bugs me about it and says that its not fair! i realy don't want to be her friend but i don't know! i feel like she is the worst person i ever met! how can i tell her this!
I can definitely relate to this!!!I've been in the same situation!!I know it's a hard thing to go thru and an even tougher decision to make,especailly if you're like me(which it sounds like you are) and hate to hurt someone's feelings or to fight with someone.But I say it's high time you stood up for yourself sweetie!!!There's a whole big world out there filled with great people in it who WON'T use you,which is exactly what this friend is doing!!You deserve so much better!Find some new friends who are willing to meet you half-way,and who care as much about you as you do them.A real friend doesn't treat you the way this girl is!!

my cousins have both had a lot of trouble with drugs and addiction. i am very scared they will die and i always cry when i talk about it. I get so sad and i dont no what to do, my emotions are taking me over!
I would definitely let them know how much you love them and that you are concerned.However,in these cases it's best not to pass judgement,or come off as yelling or criticizing them.That would just push them away even more.Let them know about your concerns and how much you love them and don't want to see anything bad happen to them.Other than that,unfortunately sweetie there really isn't much else you can do.Maybe try talking to an aunt or uncle,or one of your parents and see if they might be able to something further to get them help.Otherwise there isn't anything you can do other than letting them know how much you love them and are there for them.Sadly,these types of things sometimes take a person hitting rock bottom or just until THEY decide they've had enough,for it to end.You're definitely in my thoughts and prayers hunnie,and if you ever need someone to talk to,leave me a note in my inbox and I'd be more than happy to exchange s/n's with you!!!

I would sit down with Grandma and let her know how you feel!Tell her how much you love her and that you wish she would spend some time with you.I wouldn't really go into a tirade about how much attention she pays to your cousins,cuz it's probably best to avoid whining or complaining.That might just start a fight or get you the opposite reaction of what you want!Ya know? Just let your Grandma know that you've been feeling a little left out lately,say something cutesy like "So when do I get to spend time with ya?When is (your cousins name) gonna stop hoggin ya?" well im going to florida for a week and im leaving tommorow and i havent gotten my period when i was supposed to and i dont kno when it will come and i will be swimming a lot because it is florida and i cant wear tampons the whole time can i ? because i didnt think u were sposed to do that .What should i do?
You can definitely wear a tampon each time you go swimming!If you don't feel comfrotable wearing one when you're just sittin around,or doing anything outside of the pool or ocean,there's nothing wrong with wearing a pad!You'll be fine girlie!!Have a blast in Florida!!!! :)

You need to stand firm and let them know that their fights/arguments are not YOUR problem!Let them know that while you're there for them if they ever need anything,it's not fair to put you in the middle when they have a fight.Just ask them "Could you guys please not involve me? It makes me feel like I have to choose sides,and I love both of you,that's not fair!Plus you two need to work out your difficulties on your own!".If they can't understand that....they're not the best kind of friend to have anyway!

Yes you definetely can!The week before and the week of your period is a prime time to get pregnant!Some facts you should know are:A woman's egg is released 14 days before the start of your period,and sperm can live inside a woman's body for 3 or 4 days after having sex!!Since I'm not Dr.Ruth tho,my best advice would be to always make sure he uses a condom,and go see your doctor or head to a clinic like Planned Parenthood (www.plannedparenthood.com or .org I believe)to see about getting on the pill or the depo shot!!!BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY!!!! :)

I am 4'9" and I weigh 93 pounds... I have very muscular legs and arms,(i dont mean to brag but i am telling the truth so i will get good advice) but my stomach is a little poochy. I haven't gone through "puberty" yet, and i know that I will get taller and thin out a little bit, but for now, what are some ideas to lose the pooch? Hey,it's totally okay to be 4'9 and weigh 93 lbs!! I'm 4'10 and I weigh 90 lbs. Sooo,who knows,you may grow another 4-5 inches,you may not!But don't worry,short people rock! ;) Hehehe! As far as any pooch is concerened,your best bet is to do sit-ups and crunches!!Invest in an ab-roller too,those things are great!To firm up your thighs,hit the treadmill,and the stationary bike.Also those old rowing machines aren't bad!!!They're kinda fun actually!! how do u put a tampon in im not sure how to and my mom threw away my directions caz she didnt want me to get the tampons i tried to just stick it in but the tampon is like soo huge and im soo scared.. help :(
Hehehe nothin to be scared about girl!!It really depends on the kind you got,I'm gonna assume you got the regular kind with the applicator.You just make sure to unravel the string at the bottom so that it's all hangin down.Then just put your finger in the bottom of it and kinda sepreate the bottom a little.Then all you do is put the top of the applicator in JUST to the tip and push the tampon in from the bottom.Then you throw away the plastic applicator!Hope that helps!!! ;)

How do I get more friends?? I have two best friend but it feels like no one else is really my friend.... like I only have 2 friends!! I think I'm pretty... It can take a little time to get used to them! Just recently I went on vacay to see my moms friend that she had made recently on a college course. So we went down to see her friend and her family b/c my mom wanted to introduce me. So of course she has a son a year older than me and I'm head over heels, you dig? So anyway we had an awsome time almost everything in the world tells me he liked me back, so I gave him my home # and my sn. We live miles and miles apart and i just left a couple weeks ago. He hasnt called or been online and I've been missing him so much. I'm starting to wonder if this is a sign if he doesn't like me at all... or i d k. But I can't go ahead and call him b/c I dont want to look desperate if he wanted to talk he would have called or went online. But hes a great guy I'd never give up liking him so... at this point idk what to do b/c i d k if i will even get to see him ne time soon... and I just cant take it ne more... its more than i can handle.
Long distance relationships are very difficult to handle.But it really can't hurt to give him a call and just say hi and ask him what's up,how he's been,etc.He might be thinking the same thing you are "well,if she wanted to talk she'd have called or been online by now".But if you think that you wouldn't be able to handle just being friends with him and talking online and on the phone,or you wouldn't be able to handle a long distance relationship...I would suggest,as hard as it is,to try and move on.It's not fair to put yourself thru that pain and hurt.Your prince charming might not be as far away as you think! ;)
