I just got braces a few weeks ago and I have to get them tightened for the first time on February 1.. I was just wondering.. When you get them tightened, does it hurt as much as it does when you first get your braces on? Do you have to like eat soup and stuff again for a few days after you get them tightened? Another question.. My ortho showed me this special way to floss, but it's such a hassle. It takes forever to floss, and it's really complicated. Do most people floss when they have braces? Or is it okay if I don't floss.. and just brush my teeth really well? Thanks.. I'll rate HiGh!

I had braces not to long ago and when i got them tightened it ajusted like in a few minutes so no you dont have to eat soup for the first few days after. And it didnt hurt, but of course everyones different. and with the flossing... i didnt floss much but it helps if u get this other tool that sort scrapes the dirt away... i dono what its called but you can get it at like walkmart and target...

There's this guy at my school that I really like, and think I am in love with (I have thought this for YEARS). But I'm afraid to start anything with him because he has kind of been the center of many jokes between me and my friends, and he's not exactly the hottest guy on earth lol. He is kind of short, in fact, I think I'm taller than him. But he's kind of cute in a way and I really like his personality. I know I could probably get a hotter guy, but for some reason I feel like he is the only one I could be happy with. But I am afraid of what my friends will think if I tell them I like him. So what should I do?

OMG who cares what your friends think! I mean suneralater you'll get married and you can't just get a hott guy if you dont love him! it just doesnt make sence. If you like the nerdy guy just go for him. You friends should support you in who you like... and if they dont then i dont think they know what they want. I'd go for him!

Well love is a tricky thing. But if you feel very confterble (sp?) around the guy and he makes you feel good and ect. then you could be in love. Another way to no is when you think about them nonstop.

My house smells really bad.. like dogs. How do i get the smell to go away? I've tried air fresheners like NeutraAir and Febreeze and Oust but none of them seem to work. Is there an INEXPENSIVE way to get my house clean- and fresh-smelling? I'll rate 5's for everyone who tries 2 answer!

Well i have a dog to and we usually use oust but if that doesnt work give u dogs more baths. Maybe that might help... otherwize i dont really no, sry

Okay... Me and my boyfriend have been going out for 2 months... it will be 3 months on the 6th of january..! 14/F. I have to get orthodonic braces in a few weeks and I have a few questions about them. I will rate. Do they hurt? What will happen if I chew gum with them? What color bands would look good with brown hair and brown eyes? Thanks.

hehehe... well i had braces too and i recently got them off last year (dec. 2) lol
Best colors would probably be pink, white, light blue, lime green or even red.
They don't really hurt unless you screw something up which doesnt really happen... but you get used to it.
If you chew gum just try not to get a brand thats really sticky cuz it will stick.

Make a collage around the whole room... or start putting some on lamps or you door... If you have any shelves you could somehow decorate it onto there too.

I have a really weirdo stupid dog, lol. She bumped my head and now i have a HUGE bruise. Do you guys know how to get rid of a bruise fast? My parents and my older sister (Who's moving home today, YAY!), are gonna laugh at me and I hate it when they do. I also really don't want to go to school with the stupid bruise. Theres this one girl in my dorm...she CANT spell. A freshmen in college and she cant spell little words, she simply doesnt know how. The word good, she spells gud. She cant even spell little words and this concerns me. She isnt doing well in her classes at all because of this reason. Me and my roommate edit her papers and we try to tell her that she really needs to learn how to spell properly, but she doesnt care. She cant rely on me and my roommate to save her but on every paper. Should I tell her to go to a tutor (which she probally wont go), or let her fend for herself? I tried to help her learn, but I get mad at her everytime I try.

Well theres not much i can really help you with there... but some ppl just can't spell. It's not their falt, but i think that there's this learning disability that includes people not being able to understand the meaning of small words so they have a hard time spelling them. But then they are great with these big words. Can she even spell bigger words like 'Individualized' or does she only have a problem with small words like 'and' 'the' stuff like that? I dono but you could try to have her get a tutor i guess...

Well you could start talking to him and make him feel confertable(sp?) around you. When he feels good talking to you and all he might come and ask you. If that doesn't work ask him out yourself. It might seem odd but its not. Good Luck!

well if u still like him try and find out if he still likes you. Ask him why he doesn't date ex gfs. You can also try flirting alittle more, try to have him notice you again the way he used to. And if that just doesn't work you can try flirting with other guys that you like. Maybe he'll come back or you'll just be with someone else.

I liked my guy friend named "Kevin", he always says that he doesn't like me but when he's around me (which is like all the time...)he always flirts with me and all. He's walked me home, to my mom's work, and to the bus stop. We went to one of the school dances (i went stag) and he got all jealous when he saw me dancing with one of his football buddies. Ever since then he's been really nice and all. When I stopped crushing over him, he like wouldn't stop lookin at me or anything, but after he found out that I liked him though, he blocked me on aim. What should I do? Should I consider him a friend or not?

Well he seems kinda shy and would probably like to talk to you in person more... but your asking if u should take him as a friend so i would say... friend, but maybe he freaked out when he found out that you liked him too? So just take things slow if you still go for him.
