My name is Devin Lindsey or Vinny as my sister calls me! I am 17 years old and go to Bethel Park High school. I loooove swimming along with dancing, singing, and playing softball. I also run varsity track with is alright i supose too.


My favorite colors are orange, pink, and blue. I love to be crazy and have a good time

I've had a job working for 15+ monthes so I can answer alot about that

and I know alot about relationships in general so I can be helpful with that sometimes

especially with parent child relationships


I am a very observant person and tend to know more and care about more than most my age


and I really believe in volunteering to help animals especially at shelters. Usually its not their fault that they have to live their and its usually horrible cercimstances that bring them there and I feel terrible that they can't speak for themselves and people are too caught up in spending like $500 on this cute little pure breed puppy from a breeder just into getting rich instead of giving one of these dogs another chance at life (there are usually a handful of dogs under a year old so the i want a puppy excuse doesn't work with me)

My baby is named Lainey Mae... we got her from a shelter about 2 hours away from us when she was 7 weeks old. she is now 2 years old and the center of our family. unfortunately someone was cruel enough to go down and drug up and shoot (but luckly not kill) most of the dogs plus rob the owner (just like someone did at the shelter where I volunteer) and its now shut down

okay so i heard that celery has negative calories. is this really true? and if it is what exactly are negative calories and do you know any more foods that have them. thanks

its not that it has negative calories. it is just that you burn more calories eating it than you take in. whether or not that is compeletely true only a dietrician would know.

I work at sears. We carry mudd backpacks in very similar styles any they are all 50% off now making them aroun $15 i believe. They are a little bit smaller but about the same. I looked on sears's website and they didn't have any there but i know we have them in our store

but..i don't know. sometimes i enjoy it & other times i'm not so sure. my parents will be disappointed if i don't pursue varsity swimming at my school. but, idk if i want to. i enjoy it sometimes, but ither times i hate it. it's so boring & kinda hard. idk how to explain it. i just don't enjoy it too much. :(

i really regreting quiting swimming. I look back on it now and thought it was really stupid of me. I swam for 5 years then quit once middleschool/highschool swimming started. What i recomend is stick with it. Although you may really hate it at times hs swimming is much more fun than rec or whatever and you could get a college scolarship out of it and make your future a whole lot easier. if you are confused stick with it until you know 100% for sure so you have no regrets

i've been having yeast infections lately, my doctor told me to buy the over the counter stuff. so i did and got rid of it. well me and my boyfrind ended up having sex two days after i was done with the medicine ((finished saturday. sex on monday)). in a way i could feel it comin back but i didn't think it was that. wed. me and my boyfriend had sex again. and now i have the yast infection AGAIN! i plan on buying the meds again but i was woundering that bC i had sex in such a short time after i finished the meds is that why it came back again? also how long should i wait to have sex again when i finish there next meds? ((my boyfriends is buy it for me this weekend))

chances are you past it on to your boyfriend and thats why it came back. What i would do is wait until its completely gone and possibly get him something too (i don't know what they make out there for men but its true he can get it because its a bacterial infection). They i would wait a week or so just to be sure

Yes and know. You may have a hard time getting into some big name regular colleges, but a special needs college of course you can get into!

I'm 13 and jsut starting cheerleading this year and I was wondering: What type of clothing is good for cheerleading practice? I know definitely soffe shorts, and I also have nike sneakers. What are good brands or types of tank tops/ t-shirts are good for practice but aren't extremely expensive. Also if you have any other kinds of shorts that would help too. THanks!

Anything you would wear for gym is fine.... soffees just any short shorts that move and are cotton are fine. and tank tops usually work best. as a said anything is fine really. I got some really cute like exercising tops at kohls and they also have them at sears and they have a good built in sports bra, are a nice breathable material, and have the racerback back on them which is pretty cool. I know cools has alot of beaters on clearace which you can check out. just the key thing is that it is easy to move it and isnt too hot.

I am finnaly getting a cell phone!! but.. it is my Mom's old one :( but y'know it is something. I am going into High School and they say like 100 minutes is enough, but i am afraid that when i get new friends i will be talking to them alot, and i cannot convince my parents that i NEED more minutes... what should i do???

100 mins is never going to be enough.. only for emercencies. I would offer to pay for part of it if you could have more mins and try to take advantage of free nights and weekends..thats what i do. i only end up using like 52 of my 800 day mins then i usually have over 300 on nights and weekends. But if you parents are paying for it i would be grateful because i pay 100% of my bill and would be thrilled if my parents payed for 100 of my mins and thats all i had. Just be smart and responsible. Going over your mins by alot to prove a point would most likely make things worse

ya i really want a ipod soo bad and my parents said that if i want one i have to buy it myself.. and my friends are sayin that they got their ipods free online with no scams and every site i go to where it says free ipod its always a scam i either have to buy and offer or take a long ass survay and its soo annoying but i want one so bad soo please does anyone know a real non scam site where i just put in my address and name and get a free nano ipod??

the internet is going to be 99% scams.. but i have noticed alot of colleges in my local area the first 100 or so people there get a free nano if you attend there science fair. Boring night but hey free ipod. Also check out your local radio stations for giveaways.

Hi, I am in 10th grade, and I am taking AP Biology. Anyways, we were discussing the max. amount of biological children a woman can potentially have. I could not find this information anywhere and need help finding this; it's extra credit.

It could really vary. I know there was a lady once that had 56 biological children. I heard it on discovery health channel although i do not think there is living proof of it because it happened hundreds of years ago.

but if you think a girl starts her period around the age of 13 and has it till about 50. Thats about 37 years. which is 444 monthes. Then if she has a baby every 9 monthes thats about 49-50 children but also after the age of 25 she is at a higher risk of having mulitples

in the end i would say anywhere from 60-70 is the max provided she had no more than a few sets of twins and triplets

I'm Italian-American and my family is pretty old fashion when it comes to dating. They're not in anyway racists at all but they don't exactly believe in dating outside our race (like any guy that isn't white).


Well I've meet this guy since school started (I've actually met him at parties and stuff before but never really had a chance to get to know him) and he asked me out on a date.


I like him and all and I know my dad would love him (my parents always meet my dates when they come pick me up :/ ). He's Mr. all star football running back, he's smart (top 10% of our class, actually), and he's oh so respectful. But one problem, he's black. And like I said before, my parents aren't into that.


So I'm not exactly sure what to do. I've tried talking to them about the situation in the past, but no luck.

What i would do is explain to them that there is a guy and tell them all the wonderful things about him except that he is black because they may grow attached to this guy if they find out he is decent first. And even if they say something go with your heart. If he truely loves you and you love him back your parents will see this and back off.

hi im 16/f & i have mild ocd. i wouldn't say its too extreme. i have to count things, touch things a certain number of times, do rituals, fix things, etc. i'm not sure what to do exactly. my parents offered taking me to a doctor but i don't think they'd understand. i'm really not that bad, but idk i have to do certain rituals, the same every day. i feel anxious of i don't do them or worried that something will go wrong. does anyone have OCD or know anything about the doctors?? i just want extra information & what they did or just good suggestions/ideas.

i would go to the doctors.. what seems mild to you may turn into something major and require alot of help if you don't do something now.

Also the anxiety may be caused my depression that often goes along with ocd.. i would say better safe than sorry

about 3 months ago, i was diagnosed with leaukemia=[. the doctor told me that i am gonna die after my 8th month. is he allowed to tell me this? he just flat out said... " in about 8 months your gonna die ", he made me my mom my dad and my brother cry. so anyways.... can he tell me this... and can i like sue him for it?

Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with a sibling moving out and going off to college? My sister and I are a year and half apart and she's moving out in a little over a week. We're really close and I just can't imagine her not being here.


We also have an older brother that moved out 4 years ago but I guess I didn't notice as much since I still had my sister.


Now, I'm going to be all alone (well...with my parents) and have the whole upstairs of our house to myself basically and I know it sounds kind of dumb, but it's scary. Has anyone else felt this way and had to deal with it?

Maybe you could talk your family into letting you have a friend or a cousin sleep over a few nights to help make the transition easier and make you feel more comfortable.

I have never had a sibling leave me for more than a night and even that gets kind of lonely. Just being with soemone else for a while will help make you feel better.

But don't worry you will get used to it. Like my sister went away for a week and at first i was bummed out then eventually i grew to like being the only child and was kind of upset when she came back

I recently bought some clothes from the Hollister at my mall. I am a 17 year old boy and think the clothes are nice.

When I got home and showed my 13 year old brother the clothes I got (a polo and a sweatshirt) he started screaming at me and said that only posers and gays were Hollister.

I know quite a few people don't like Hollister and quite a few people do.

I am wondering what people think of boys who wear Hollister?

Personally i think guys that wear hollister and abercrombie are hott! I love preppy boys and i think jeans from there and muscle shirts from there look really good on guys

I recently asked my parents for a cell phone, but they aren't giving in. 15/m by the way...i get good grades like all almost all A's. My parents said that money isn't the important thing, so I need some advice in convincing them to get me a phone? what could I say or do?

I would recommend trying to convince them to let you get a prepaid virgin mobile phone

- Its prepaid and you can put at little as $20 whenever you want (it says atleast every 90 days but they don't even pay attention to it.. so you can even but only $20 on every 100 days if you want)
- They don't have alot of mins so its a good phone to have incase of an emergency or something forgot to get you so its a good phone to keep that you can't run a bill up on

- you can't go over on your mins so you wont have to worry about overages




Its good to try to talk them into getting a phone for safety reasons. Being a guy its not as big of a deal but what if someone forgets to get you and you are alone in the dark? or if you injure yourself while out running and alls you have is your phone to call for help.


eventually my parents just gave into me and i got my first phone but i wasn't alowed to have aplan and i could only have prepaid.. also if you have the money you don't need to be 18 to get a virgin mobile phone so you can go get it yourself

For Homecoming, do you get a long dress or a shorter dress? Is it really fancy, like should I buy a facy dress?

It depends on your school and how you feel. Like my school does extremely like formal dresses and i would say 90% of the people have dresses to the floor although some people where shorter dresses, but on shows like laguna beach they wore short like nonformal summer dresses.

What i did was i went in early summer and i bought a clearace prom gown which i am going to wear
