celery?

okay so i heard that celery has negative calories. is this really true? and if it is what exactly are negative calories and do you know any more foods that have them. thanks

its not that it has negative calories. it is just that you burn more calories eating it than you take in. whether or not that is compeletely true only a dietrician would know.

other people have explained the negative calories thing, but another food that has no calories is an apple. however, apples have a lot of sugar.

Well they're not really like "neative calories", it's just that it takes more calories to eat the food than the food actually has in it so it's like the calories just never get processed by your body. Celery is a great diet food in this way because it fills you up even without the calories.

well its not negative calories.

its just that when you eat the celery, you burn up more calories from chewing it than the actual celery.

t depends on how much you eat of the celery. if a celery is 3 calories, it would take 5 calories to burn , so you lose 2 calories (5-3=2)

yes celery has negative calories. its when it takes more calories to eat the food than the food actually has, so its like negative calories. like if a banana has 5 calories it would take 7 calories to eat the banana, so its negative.
