Ok, well, i'm in marching band and I'm a freshman. I went into the year thinking "I'm gonna meet lots of guys and i'm gonna be really nice and outgoing." But i was just wondering....how are you really supposed to get to know guys who aren't in your section and don't play your instrument?? i don't find much time to socialize with them. I see a lot of cute boys, but the problem is i don't get how u get to know them when almost everything you do is practically within your section.
My other question is....
Do sohpmore/junior guys naturally think freshmen girls are really immature? like, if they find out a girl has a crush on them, will they think she's weird and annoying because she's a freshmen? there could be some guys i'm interested in, but i'm afraid to talk to them or anything because i don't want them to think i'm annoying.

I'm not in band, & I never have been, but I do have experience with guys, so I think I can help you out.


Is there time during band that the instructor gives you a bit of time to socialize & take a break from playing if he thinks you guys did well that day? I know that as a singer, my choir teacher gave us 15 minutes [sometimes more] to talk amongst ourselves when we did good that day.


If so, go up to them & introduce yourself & find out their names. Once you do that, see if you have any classes together. If you do, keep talking to them there. If you happen to have no classes together except band, maybe you'll see them in the hall. When you happen to see them in the hall, say hi & smile. Then if they seem interested, start up a conversation & make friends.


As far as I know about guys, sophomores & juniors tend to go for freshman girls as well as girls their age. I've seen a lot of guys at my school hook-up & date girls of the freshman class simply because it's a new face from what they've been seeing lately & it's a new person to get to know. Some guys will think you're annoying & immature, but not all guys are like that. Yeah, I'm giving them credit, I know. Haha, but honestly, just be yourself & if you see a guy you think is cute, say hi, smile & start a friendship. You could end up dating one of these guys.


However, if they're not interested, that's their loss. There's a lot of other guys out there, so don't beat yourself up if a guy doesn't like you. Other guys will like you & ask you out, so just keep a positive outlook. =) Have fun & good luck!

If they don't have anything on the site, don't be discouraged. If the stuff you're looking for isn't on the site, check the store. Sometimes they don't update the site so some stuff doesn't make it on there.

You're not a bad friend, but you're not exactly a good friend either. If your friend likes a guy, you should respect that & back off. By dating the guys that she likes, you're demolishing the trust she once had for you. If you keep up what you're doing, your friend will probably stop telling you who she likes altogether because she's sick of you stealing away from them.


Honestly sweetheart, you need to find guys you like for yourself instead of taking them away from your friend. If you're going to talk to these guys that she likes, at least help her get to go out with them. Be their friend, but nothing more because you're hurting your friend & she's not going to want to be friends anymore if you do this enough. You've already done it 3 times. It's time to grow up.

My boyfriend and I are going camping and I havent seen him in a few weeks, and I know we will be having sex. I will be able to get a shower in the morning but how can I stay clean during the night when I can't get to the showers?

In the aisle of the drugstore where they sell feminine products such as pads & whatnot, they have feminine wipes that work well for when you're menstrual. You could use those. Not only are they scented, but they work well & clean up everything.


If you're camping near a lake or some sort of water area, you could always swim in there if you want.

Ok,I know it's a bit early but I need costume ideas for a party I will be attending on Halloween.I want to dress as a girl,so what would be a good costume for a guy 22 years old ?? Their will be prizes for the best costumes so I'm willing to go all out.

The best I've seen have been at my school. Some of the guys wore their sister's prom dresses & their sisters clothes.


The best one was a mini skirt, little tank top with a stuffed bra, hideous boots, a scarf, a wig, over the top make-up & fake nails. That costume was hilarious & he had the best one.


If you end up changing your mind, you could cut out holes on a box for arms, legs & head so you could be a present, or be Tom from MySpace & have some shirt that says something hilarious about MySpace & pedophiles or something. My ex live`s practically(sp) across the street from me. He broke up with me. And it was 2 week`s ago. Since then I only saw him 3 time`s. Keep yourself occupied & think of things that make you happy. If you think about the break up, it'll just upset you & make you more vulnerable to cry.

13/f. I want to start hanging out with guy's more. For this school year because my friend's [girls'] cause to much drama. You can't even believe. And I don't want to deal with it. First off, I can begin to believe how girls are drama. Being one myself, and 16, I've experienced most of the drama viscious little girls can bring to the table. With that, I can see why you want to be friends with guys. Kudos to you for learning your lesson early & ditching those evil caniving little backstabbers for good!


Anyways, when you wanna be friends with a guy, just be honest about it. Go into the friendship being totally yourself. If you act like these girls do, the guys will probably not wanna be friends with you. However, please prepare yourself for friendships only. When you become friends with a guy, they will see you as one of the guy's & probably not want to date you because of it. But, the friendships are pretty valid. Less drama, less backstabbing & less shittalking. Good luck!

why are people always like "oh you shouldnt have sex you're too young, wait for marriage." just because one person believes you should wait til marriage doesnt mean everyone else does and has to abide by that. people shouldnt be judged on what age they want to have sex at. it is THEIR opinion. and if they regret it, at least they learned from it. everyone makes mistakes. it is their OWN lives and people shouldnt tell them how to live or what to do.

Honestly, there is no answer to your question. It really does depend on the place. Some places charge $300 for a night, some charge by the hour. Maybe call around & see what they charge.


It's also the same deal for DJ's. Some charge by night & some by hour. You just need to call around & ask.

I believe you can. I went last year, and they checked my bags but only because I was at an amusement park & I went in through the park.


I believe that at the concert, they don't check your bags, although they might. If they don't, they just ask for the tickets & you can bring a drink. Have any of your friends gone to it before where you are? If so, ask them because Warped Tour is different for everyone, and it's always a different experience.

Confront them! You don't have to take that shit, especially from a teammate & someone you used to/still like! Tell your brother what's going on, and then tell this guy you're done with him. ok so i am a smoker... but i dont do drugs (including joints) and last year i was persuaded into trying a joint (no harm done. not my thing.) the problem is now this friend of mine (a cousin of a good friend) thinks i am a regular since i told her and her cousin and another friend about it. i don't like that image of me and i'd hate it if people think i smoke up. she always posts messages on facebook saying how she is really craving "you know what we want". obviously people know what that is. i tried it once and i told my parents they were ok with it cause they know i was just being curious but i don't want people to think i am regular. since i am on vacation, she always sends messages saying when you get back we should hang out and you should come over and you can stay at my place so you don't end up like the first time (hysteric and paranoid) ..... i really don't want to do it let alone to be associated with it. what should i do!?!?!

Okay so my state (TN) has decided to mandate that every student K-12 get 90 minutes of excersize a week. Well they are using our homeroom time at my school to do just that. I think it is incredibly stupid because its not the school's responsibility to tell us what to do as far as excersizing goes. It is so damn retarded I can hardly stand it. I HATE coming to school now. OMG as if it wasnt bad enough LETS THROW IN SOME EXCERSIZE!!! Plus my homeroom teacher is strict with the rules, so if we dont do these excersizes every morning, she will write us up. I dont feel like I can talk to her because she wont understand. And I cant sit there and object while everyone else is doing it because that will draw negative attention to me. I get enough attention as it is for being fat. And thats not the reason I dont want to do the excersizes. It's just that 15 minutes is a long time for someone who is as heavy as I am and its embarassing to have my fat jiggle around for the whole freaking class to watch and laugh at. I would much prefer to excersize in PRIVACY where I dont have to worry about what I look like. High school is bad enough as it is. I think this is pure torture and I really want to refuse to do it. But I dont want to bring negative attention to myself. WHAT SHOULD I DO???? and what is your opinion on our new state law??

This is a shock coming from me, but I agree with the law, and I love it. I dislike gym, A LOT, but this is good for you. Why disagree with it?


Like the other people stated below, the state is doing this for kids like you. It may not be your fault for how you are [it could likely be your genetics], & you're probably just not motivated enough to exercise. If you do this routine every morning, you'll realize that it's easy & you like it, and it could possibly motivate you to do a routine like that at home.


The state isn't doing this to torture you & make you miserable. They're doing it to help you & other kids get healthy. They care - so why would you be pissed about it? Honestly, stop complaining. I had gym everyday last year, so I had to run the mile 4 times because I had two seperate gym classes which is why I had it everyday. 90 minutes of exercise is nothing to me. My classes are an hour each, so I had 5 hours of gym a week. So compared to my 5 hours, you'd rather have 90 minutes, right? Exactly.


Honestly though, you should be happy the state made this law. They're giving you the push you need & instead of complaining about how "embarassing" it is, you should be loving this. If you don't want people to laugh at you, sit in the back. I'm sure all the other big kids feel that way too, so you're not alone. But overall, the law is great & you should be embracing it instead of hating it.
