if my teen daughter sends a picture of herself to a guy she knows in her underwear and bra, should i allow her a new cell phone or no? (link)
|
I say no. If she cannot use a mobile phone properly, then she can't have one. Especially if you are paying for it.
Like the responder below suggests, try to block picture messages if you feel that she needs a phone to tell you where she is, etc.

what names can i call my girlfriend?

How would we possibly know this?!
Call your girlfriend by the name she was given.

when I was 15 I noticed that my penis was below the average size it should be so I hoped it would grow as I got older now im 18 and its still the same size will that make women laugh or walk away when im about to have sex pr do something with them? (link)
|
No. Everyone is different. There is nothing you can do about penis size.
Your best option is to just embrace what you have, and be happy about it. If girls laugh, then oh well. They're immature for doing so.
If you find a girl that likes you for you, she won't care. After all, it's what you do with it, rather than how big it is.
|
I was really good friends with this girl, and one day my mom almost found out that I smoke weed, so I asked my friend to babysit my bong and bowl for a week or so until my mom's suspicions cooled down. Since then our friendship has turned into mostly bickering and it's been about 4 weeks yet she still hasn't returned my things. I've tried numerous times to set up a day and time for me to swing by and pick them up, no questions asked and just be on my way. But she always has an excuse...she's out, she's busy, her parents are home. But I can tell they're all just excuses. The past few days she has just completely ignored me.
What I want to know is if it would be considered harassment for me to knock on her door and ask for my things? And if her parents answer and she's not there, I tell them she has something for me in her room?
By the way, I'm 19 years old and a sophomore in college so I am old enough to be making my own decisions. If you're even going to criticize my marijuana use, please don't bother responding. Your opinion will not make a difference in my choice. Thank you! (link)
|
It wouldn't really be harassment if you just knocked on the door and asked if you could get your things. Just do the "I was in the area" thing.
But, don't actually harass her. If they call the police, then they won't be able to help you much because what you are trying to get is something illegal. It's like robbing a bank, and then complaining that someone stole your get away vehicle.
But if she decides not to give it back, just get over it. There is nothing you can do, except be nice to her and just hope she gives it you back. If all else fails, just buy a new one!
Good luck!

I was just wondering for girls gymnastics in the Olympics..do the girls wear anything under the uniforms like underwear or anything? It seems like they dont because I'd imagine they would show? Just curious ! (link)
|
The leotards usually have built in underwear. I.e. there is thickened padding where underwear would be.
Underwear would really not work, because as you say, you would see lines etc.
They may decide to wear extremely small underwear. I suppose it's down to the gymnast.

Why did you stop saying hi and talking to me? I never did anything to you. The only possible reason I see is that you probably saw a question here that I asked. I met you recently. What did I do? Please tell me, this has been happening way too often with too many girls to be a coincidence. Is there something wrong with me? My friends say no. Did you hear something about me? Do I seem too nervous all the time? Am I annoying? Is it because everything is creepy to you? Am I a creep for saying hi and being a little shy and nervous? It seems as if most girls thing everything is creepy. Like WTF? I must be doing something wrong. If you're on here, please tell me. Because it's happened over three times in a row. Why do girls stop talking to guys out of the blue? When they haven't even done anything wrong? It's weird and scary. Seriously. I feel like I'm being rumored about or something. I just hate the thought of someone making others think a certain way about me. male/17 (link)
|
I think you wanted this to be a direct question? Ask the person directly, because this is obviously for someone specific.
Just a few tips: don't blame yourself. This "is it me? am I creepy" paranoid, needy thing isn't attractive.
Ask her calmly and politely if there was a problem. Just hope she answers back. If she doesn't, just move on.
Good luck.

You need to know why you failed. Go through the process so you can learn from it. If you can, ask for your script back and ask a teacher to look for it. Sometimes you can do it, but you will have to pay.
Don't do this straight away though. You've sat the exam, and there's nothing else you can do now. However hard you worry, or think, it will not change.
So keep yourself busy, doing something you like! Watch a movie with ice-cream and popcorn, read a book, watch tv, go for a walk, see your friends, etc , etc. Just keep yourself busy so that you keep your mind off it. Relax.
When you can, ask your teacher about the script.
Good luck :)

I have a patch on my scalp on the right side of my head behind the ear that I pick at maybe once a week. I don't know why it is like that or what it is. It could be yeast I guess. It doesn't really itch much maybe a little but rarely. I can pick a big flake off, it's weird and gross. I have had something like this when I was younger where I would pick my whole head. Sometimes it bleeds after I pick off flakes or when I scratch it off. Comes off really easily and there would be some soft, white stuff under my nails. I much rather leave it alone and hope it goes away but after a week I would always feel to see if it was there and it always is. I need help identifying this. (link)
|
It could be dandruff, or it may be something worse.
I had a similar thing: sort of like a gross crust. I went to the doctor and he prescribed me this sort of shampoo. It was really, really thick, and brown. It smelt horrible, but by god did it work. Not only did it get rid of dandruff, but it made my whole scalp and hair extremely soft!
So I recommend you see your doctor, so they can prescribe you something!

Hello, I am 18 and a babysitter. I babysit a little 2 year old for a couple who is 22 and 23. I watch him from the time the mom leaves for work at around 10:00 am to when the dad gets home from work which is around 5:30. My parents have to drop me off and pick me up because we only have 2 cars and they take one to work and my brother takes one to work. So, when the dad gets home, I hang out until one of my parents comes for me. We talk sometimes but I realized it's real awkward. Like, when we talk, we don't look each other in the eyes but when we do, he smiles a lot. He asks me about my life and seems genuinely interested when I talk about it. I'm moving into college soon and he asks me questions about that and that he'll miss me when I stop babysitting. Sometimes his son will want something and I'll go to help him and his dad will go to help him, too and we'll both look at each other and smile at each other that we both jumped to help him at the same time. Sometimes his son will do something funny and I'll chuckle and he'll look at me for a few seconds, then smile and then look at his son and tell him he's silly. I don't know what I'm trying to get at, he's 22 and married, he can't be interested in me but I can't figure out why our encounters are so awkward. Please tell me what you think and what I should do. Thanks. (link)
|
It doesn't sound like he's really interested. It just sounds like it's awkward between the two of you (which is normal) and so you're just picking up on tiny details which will obviously stick out, because nothing else happens.
Of course he will smile. Of course he will try and speak to you. Of course he's going to go and help his son. And of course he is going to miss you: especially if you do a good job, and the children like you.
What should you do? Nothing to be honest. You're going to college, and he's married with children (that you know), and so there's no chance of some sort of quick love affair here.
Carry on baby sitting, and just be friendly with the dad.

M/17. I have reduced my video game playing drastically. It's been taken over by a newer "secret" hobby. In some ways it's good and beneficial. But I still feel like I'm using technology too much. This somewhat secret hobby is YouTube and poetry writing on my computer. I have like a whole archive of poetry on my computer. So what I do is upload the poetry to YouTube in like a digital OCD manner. It's very time consuming. Editing, promoting, and making sure everything is provided, like 1080p HD. I constantly sign in to check views and feedback (If any) Aside from that, I also make informational videos on near Earth objects. And the rest of my YouTube time is spent debating on science, philosophical, and music videos. I've actually learned A LOT on YouTube. Especially not to believe everything on there. So I debate and try to debunk. My parents don't know I spend my video game time doing this. They don't even know I write poetry. Ontop of all that, I hide my identity on the account. Is this a bad addiction? (link)
|
You have to ask yourself: "Is technology taking over my life? Do I spend so much time on youtube, that I struggle to live a life outside of it?"
If so, then you have an addiction. But you don't really give much detail on how long you spend on it. If it's just an hour or two at the end of the day, then there's no problem. If however, you don't have a job, don't study, and spend your whole day doing this, then it may be damaging.
What I suggest you do, is slowly ween yourself off, if you feel that you are spending too much time on youtube. Spend your time reading, doing exercise, etc.
If you are really struggling, then it's time to seek professional help. Seek the help of a psychiatrist, psychologist, councilor, etc.
Youtube, and the internet are fascinating things. It can of course teach us a lot. But you must be a doer, not a watcher.
But I can't give you much more advice without knowing how much of your time exactly is going in to this.
Good luck!

My hair was long but I got some weave sewn into my head and it was really tight when I took it out 3 weeks later, my hair was shorter especially in the back. What can I do to help my hair grow under a wig?
(link)

You've asked this question a few times now, and it's clear that no-one is able to.
May I suggest that you ask your hairdresser/stylist, as they will be experts.
Good luck!

hello ,
I'm compiling a list of software shortcuts. I'm looking for a list of built-in VLC shortcuts.
The only one I have found so far is :
F - toggle between normal and fullscreen mode .
Thanks. (link)

I just googled this, and got "About 485,000 results"
Surely Google would be your first choice. Then a tech forum. The a VLC forum. THEN advicenators? Advicenators is not google for lazy people.
Here you go:

I'm 17 male and having sex,I have day where I will cum aloast instintly ,techniques?? Is masturbating regulary good? (link)
|
Masturbating regularly can help. If you do not masturbate, then your penis become extremely sensitive because there is almost a build-up of pressure. The slightest thing will make the pressure overwhelming, and will result in your ejaculating quickly.
Masturbating is like regularly releasing the pressure, so that you are not 'overloaded', for lack of a better word.

I'm trying to understand why growth in Africa is so slow. How can time, or lack of infrastructure be a problem when Japan overcame two nuclear bombings to be one of the most successful countries in the world, only decades later. And even look at other countries that are progressing fast, like China and Brazil. It's not like it's impossible for life in many countries around the world to improve. I'm just confused at what's stagnating things. I know governments are greedy, but if people can start their own private businesses they can employ people, and then be able to make money for themselves. and the more that happens, the better the country becomes. I know this isn't just happening in Africa, but I want to talk about Africa right now, as I'm african myself (first generation american immigrant, originally from the uk), and I just hate to see many african countries stagnated by this. like how the only african nation that could possibly be in consideration for hosting the olympics in the nearby future is south africa, or potentially even nigeria. I mean, the fact that it's so few countries just shows how much more africa needs to develop. so I don't understand what's stopping people. it's not like everyone is poor, uneducated, and with diseases. i mean, i guess it's easy to just leave africa once you have an education, because it's easy to assimilate in the advanced western world. it must take a lot of guts for someone to stay and try and work within their country, despite the increased difficulties. but even if someone isn't educated enough, can't they open their own shops or something? I mean, first world countries were not built over night. people need to stop complaining about colonialism, because that only holds people back. most african nations aren't colonies anymore, so people are free, you know? I just hate this inequality. I wish all the african charities could focus on investing in african businesses, because once people are employed, all the other problems go away in time. people would be able to buy food, buy school materials, etc. it's all about the economy, but charities would rather focus on external things, not the problem from its source. so many problems in the world seem like they can be easily solved, but it's just frustrating that there's constant stagnation. not just in third world countries; around the world (link)
|
There are several different reasons:
1. A lot of African Governments are corrupt. They keep money that they have, and so the poorer in society are not able to access these funds. For example, a government can help people to start a business by providing funding.
2. Many African Governments are heavily indebted. Because of this, richer countries take advantage. They offer an African Government $10Million for the right to fish their seas. The Government has no option but to accept, and so takes the money. The countries/fishing companies then make $1Billion. So although $10M seems like a lot, it is nothing compared to what they could make. Also, doing this prevents local people from fishing their seas, and then selling the fish for profit.
3. Climate. Many parts of Africa are terribly hot and dry. This means no food. That means starvation. And that means death. You are unable to set up your own business if you don't even know if there will be enough food to keep your children alive.
4. Crime & Wars. Somalia has a huge problem with pirates. This puts people off, because whatever you earn, a percentage will go to 1. the government, 2. gangs. By the time you've put in all that effort, you have nothing. There was in incident in Kenya, where a British couple was killed by Somali pirates, while they were staying in a luxury resort. This sort of thing may put people off tourism, or inward investment.
5. Culture. I watched a documentary about the Chinese. They are currently investing heavily in Africa. They are employing thousands of people in Africa, but many of the employees are not willing to work. This is because China has very strict and long working hours. It can be anywhere from 10-16 hours. This is vastly different to not only Africa, but also Europe and the Americas.
6. Economy. Many African countries have HUGE levels of inflation. Zimbabwe for example, had an inflation rate of 231,150,888.87% . Somewhere like Britain has an Inflation rate of 2.7%. So $5 in Britain is worth 2.7% less that it once was. In Zimbabwe, $5 is worth 231,150,888.87% less than what it once was. This is hyperinflation. It means that money is worthless. Infact, they now print a $1Billion bill. Money is so worthless, than they use it as wallpaper, because it is cheaper than normal paper.
7. Civil War makes it difficult to start, or run a business. If you have a shop, and there is a civil war, they may be a chance that next week, it won't be there anymore.
South Africa is actually a very developed economy (partly). It is part of the BRICS nations, of growing world economies (along with Brazil, Russia, India, and China). South Africa's growing economy is based on growth in manufacturing, services, mining, and agriculture, all of which are well developed.
So there are many factors to explain the growth (or lack of) in Africa. You can't just say to someone, "start your own business". It's not that easy.
Hope I helped :)

im a 16 year old female that is having issues on weather to tell if my boyfriend is cheating on me or not and the situation is that he hasnt spoke to me at all barley in the last couple of days and i dont really have much trust in him for certain reasons and i dont know what to do or think.. (link)
|
The only way you will know is if you speak to him.
Ask him why he hasn't been speaking to you, and ask if he has cheated.
If he has given you no reason to believe that he has cheated, and you are just being paranoid, then there is a problem. If he has done nothing wrong, you can not be weary of him cheating. If you do not trust him, then it's time to end the relationship. It will only ever work if you both trust each other.
But speak to him first.

My boyfriend of 4 months gave me his expensive senior class ring around a month ago and I came back to my moms and I can't find it. I don't know if I sat it down somewhere before I went to my dads or what. I'm freaking out because it costs a lot of money and if I tell him he'll hate me and his parents will hate me and I don't have any money to pay him back right now. Ive looked all over my room and plan to search the house as soon as possible. What do I do? (link)
|
My advice: calm down and look everywhere. I was in the same situation, but this was a gold ring I was given, so it was mine. I searched (what I thought to be) everywhere. If you panic, you'll forget possible places, or not look properly.
Eventually, I found it in my jacket pocket, even though I could never remember putting it in there. So look everywhere, no matter how stupid it seems.
Also ask your dad, and ask if he's seen it. You have have taken it off when you went to see him.
But if it all fails, be honest with him. He won't hate you. Just explain that you misplaced it, and pay him back however much you can afford. Even if it's $1 a month, its still something.
Good luck

|
Do you want help regarding what sort of profession to go in? Because that all depends on what kind of qualifications you have. And you won't be able to be picky: you'll have to take any sort of job that comes your way.
I suggest you speak to the Citizens Advice Bureau. They will be able to help you and tell you if you are entitled to any benefits, and they will help you claim, etc.
You can contact them by phone, and ask to arrange to appointment. Here is their NI site:

Good luck!

ok so like 3 months ago i saw these really small skin colored bumps right under my eyes. my mum told me to wear sunscreen and tell her later if it was still there. well it is!!! i think they may have gotten bigger i cant really tell. but i dont know what they are and they're all really small and so small they're noticable if you looke closely but i cant pop them. what is it? (link)

Do you wear heavy, oil-based make up? That may be the problem, if you do. It may be an allergic reaction.
It is best to get this checked out by a doctor though. If something is not right with ones body, it is best to always see a doctor.
Good luck! :)
