okay, so i'm 15/f and my bf is 17.

we seriously are really close and hit it off right away and we're aren't like the normal 'oh i love you couples' that break up and then move on. me and him are each other's first and we really feel like we can last. we almost never argue and we have a lot of fun. and we have a lot of support from our friends. and we've only been together for four months...

but he told me something about a promise ring and i do want one...but do you think it's too young? i mean we are waiting till our 20's to get engaged and married and it sounds a little far fetched, but we really feel like we are that close...

but are we too young? and is that what a promise ring always means? and what finger would i wear it on?

In my opinion? Yes.
You are 15, and you will meet other boys in your life. You don't want to be tied down so much over a dinky ring.

He will be going to college, you will still be in high school.

I am not saying you guys won't work out, but I believe a promise ring is a little much, for the age, and because you have only been together for 4 months.

Alright, so this might be a dumb question but i don't know what to do. There's two boys, one just graduated and we'll call him A. The other i've never met in person and don't know him that well, but he's adorable and so nice to me, B. I'm going to be a sophomore which makes it difficult to look forward to anything happening with A. B, is going to be a senior, but he lives about 20 minutes away.

A is a great kid. An all around parent-pleaser. I just don't know what to do! I almost feel guilty for "leading" both of them on. Then again nothings REALLY happening yet. AH, i'm so confused.

I love helping people, i volunteer all the time and i love animals and im part of a puppy rescue organizations. I also love to skateboard it's like my life. i am a big video gamer and paintballer. i also play electric and acoustic guitar and piano. i am a gymnast and the music is listen to is rap, rock, hip hop, and heavy metal stuff.
Im not emo or anything though i wear abercrombie and makeup and im pretty girly.

I believe the girls don't "hate" you. They are probably jealous because you hang out with the guys and get along with them really well.

I, personally, love what you just decribe. You seem like so much fun to be around, yet you still have your girly side, which is amazing.

You are 13, you do not need a guy yet. Enjoy your youth. Enjoy being friends with them. Because once you get sucked into the world of boyfriends, it is hard to get out without heartache.

Yesterday I went to a funeral for a friend that recentley died (june 16, 07) Its so unreal, I cannot believe that it had happened.
Our whole school was basicly at his funeral, or thinking of him and his family.
It was so unexpected and random, why him?
I'm having sucha hard time grasping the fact that he's gone, and I could cry and cry,
I wasnt even that CLOSE to him, like some others, and I seem to be showing so much more emotions about it.
What do I do? Have any of you ever lost any friends?

I know you have gotten many answers like this one, but I, too, went through this perdicament.

I did Cross Country for my school, and I was having a hard time with certain things. There was a guy whom was a Senior. He had a heart of gold and a smile that could cheer anyone up. He helped me through so much.

After the season ended, him and I didn't really talk anymore. Just a simple Hi in the hallway on occation. Couple months later, 4/20 to be exact, all of the teachers were told to read an email that they have received. My english teacher read out loud that someone had committed suicide the night before. We asked who it was and he said the guys name. It was so unreal.

So unreal.

Everyone who knew him in some sort of way went down to the library. Though I was not close to him, it still hurt that someone I knew hurt so much to kill himself. He was 18 years old, and 2 months away from graduating.

That whole day was just a blur. I was with my friends the whole time just walking around.

What made it worse what that I wasn't close to him either, but seeing his best friend's faces was heartbreaking.

My best friends were close to him, and it was the first time I have seen any of them cry.

Just knowing someone who has died is a horrible feeling, a feeling that you cannot decribe.

It makes you realize that it can happen to anyone, and to really pay attention to different feelings of people.

Cherish your friends and your family, they are there for you no matter what.

Don't forget him, pray for him.

It's a hard concept, but if you keep him close to your heart, and stay close with your friends, you will be able to handle it.

Be strong, and I am sorry for your loss.

All of my boyfriend's friends tell me I'm ugly and he can do so much better than me. What are some ways I can improve the way I look? I just don't think I look pretty.

Alright, so you are absolutely gorgeous, and I know that most girls, including myself, would kill to look like you, and plenty of guys would die for a chance with someone who looks like you.

I am not going to tell you to change anything, mostly because you don't have to at all. You seem very comfortable with yourself, and according to the pictures, very fun.

Makeup is your thing, it's not a big deal. Everyone keeps saying "tone down on the makeup." Makeup or not you are still lovely, but if you like the makeup then keep it.

Your boyfriend likes you the way you are, and odviously doesn't care what his friends think if he is still with you.

You can't change the thoughts of other people or the perspective of his friends, that is just what they think. Just have fun with your boy.

Never wear a shirt of the band you are going to see, it's pretty much an unwritten rule.

I went to a Fall Out Boy concert last year and yes, there were the people there wearing Hollister and what not. I heard a couple of people calling them "posers," but you can't really say that.

Music is music. It can be liked by anyone, no matter what they wear.

Just wear what you are confortable in, but I warn you before that it will get extremely hot, so I suggest shorts and possibly a tank top.

im a freshamn in highschool im fifteen, and i was at my boyfriends friends house it was me and like his four guy friends. there all football players and everything so there built. there really nice and respectful and all but we were ust sitting on the couch and they were asking me really inapropriate questions like when ill get my next period and how old i was when i first got it, and what size bra i wear. it was really uncomfortable so i got up to go to the bathroom and i heard someone behind me so i turned around and it was my boyfriend he started kissing me and he asked me if i felt uncomfortable. we have been going out for a year since eighth gtrade so i could trust him and he was nice to me and everything so i said yeah a little and he started kissing me and apoligized and then in his friends house there was a guestroom right next to the bathroom and he started pushing me into the room and i went along with it since i mean we werent going to do anything. keep in mind hes a football player and weighs like 190 which is all muscle and i weigh 91 pounds. so he threw me (liturally) on the bed and started taking his shirt off and he locked the door. i sat up because i didnt want to do this. and he pushed me back down and started taking my shirt off and he started kissing me again and it hurt since he was ontop of me. i was trying to get him off and kept telling him no i dont want to do this and he always respected my opinion before when we were doing stuff and i didnt want to anymore so i thought he would this time. all he did was start to punch me and tell me i was a slut and a whore. and he started taking my pants off and he started fingering me and it hurt really bad. i just froze i was in shocke he would be doing this. i tried to fight him off which i knew wouldnt work sincehe was much mcuch bigger than me but he took his pants off and went in me and then i started screaming and his friends came but since the door was locked they just asked if i was okay and i said no and then they broke the lock and got him off of me and asked me if i was okay. meanwhile my boyfriend kept telling them i was a slut and he thought thats what i wanted because thats what sluts do and they kept telling him i wasnt a slut then he got all mad and left. the next day he kept calling me and tellling me how sorry he was and he wasnt thinking that night and he loves me and will wait till i ready to do it again. he bought me flower and he wrote me apoligy notes and all. i forgave him and its been like five months im just afraid hell do it again. i need help. what should i do?

I'm sorry this probably isn't what you want to hear, but the person under me is correct. No matter what, if you say no and he does no listen, it is considered rape. Since you have been going out with him for a year and your trust for him was really strong, I could understand how you think he will not do it again because it was just one time. Keep in mind, though, that after one time, it will usually get more common. It is odvious now that the trust between you two is not as strong since you think he could possibly do it again. Keeping things like this a secret is not the smartest thing to do. His friends know about what happened since they helped you, it's possible they are more trustworthy than your boyfriend. Talk to one of them privately on what to do. In my opinion? If you are worried about if he will do it again or not, he most likely will. I say you should let him go, no matter how hard it could be. You are a freshman in high school. High school is time to have fun and experiment with other guys. He may get mad and you may feel hurt, but time will heal. Remember, put your safety before anything else.

Ouch, from the sounds of this, this guy isn't really looking for a relationship with you. It seems to me like he thinks of you as a hookup, nothing else. Guys are pretty blind and don't know when they are doing wrong, like flirting with someone who already has a boyfriend. He needs to learn what he wants, and how to handle his feelings for someone who is already taken. For you, I think you should stop messing around with him. It will only lead you to heartbreak since he is sending you mix signals. If it ends up that he doesn't talk to you when you guys don't mess around, then he was deffinately looking for a hookup. Just talk, have fun and be friends. Make sure this is a guy you want to be with, not just a guy to break your heart.

I love these kinds of projects. It something were you can be creative and also have fun with it.

Your main goal is to keep your audience wanting more. Sports and stuff are a too common topic that seem to drag on for a long time. One time I did hauntings in America, and around my area. It worked out so well. Everyone was spooked. They have many books out on ghosts and such, and it gets everyone in the mood for more.

You want something with stories, not just facts after facts, that just gets boring after a while.

If you want to hit people's soft spots, do child abuse or suicide. Sometimes getting into emotions makes it interesting.

Just remember to have fun with it. Think to yourself, what would I want to hear? If you choose to do it on hauntings, which I highly recommend, I could send you some sites and stories on it.

okay well, I know there are questions like this constantly. so there's this boy, he's 4 years older than me, but age doesn't matter. Well, that is kind of a hard one. You guys just started talking, and for him to be saying things like that and acting extremely close with you could be an act. Older guys do have the tendancy of using younger girls for what they want, then leaving them. Since it is too early to know, I think you should get to know him a lot more. More about his past relationships and his personality. You guys just started talking, give it time, and if he sticks around the whole time and makes an attempt to get to know you, then you know he is interested. If he seems to get impatient and say "why does it matter?" a lot, then he's most likely using you and has no interest of a relationship with you. Take precautions with him, don't get too tied up.

i just joined track last friday, and to tell you the truth i'm not the best runner. i'm good at shot put, long jump, and hurdles, but we have to run a mile everyday and i'm a long distance runner. how can i be a better runner, because if i start running for like 10 seconds i get tired. thanks!

Keep a steady pace, a pace you are comfortable with.

Breath when you run, sometimes people forget to breath. Breath in for 4 steps, out for 4 steps. If you keep your breathing slow, it will keep your heart beat steady, and will help you relax.

Be loose, if you tighten up, it takes up more of your energy. Don't clench your hands.

Get an up-beat song stuck in your head. One with a fast tempo that you can run to.

Keep your spine and your head alined. You need to keep your rib cage open to alow more air into your lungs.
