Q: has anyone been in a relationship where youve been cheated on, got back together, and the relationship lasted? im just wondering because im with my boyfriend who cheated and i wanna know if its even worth it in the long run. were really in love but sometimes the past gets in the way..

Actually my friend did and it worked out for a few months.
But think about it. If he cheated once, whats going to stop him from doing it again? If your really in love make him prove it.

Q: i brush my teeth twice everyday, and i use tic-tacs, or listerine pocket packs...but my breath still wont stay fresh, how do i keep my breath ok so that people dont say "ew did you like not brush your teeth today?" thank you SO much!!:)

The columnists below me are genius, they both gave great advice. Just one thing to add: drink tons of water! At least 8 glasses. Believe it or not, the less water your mouth gets the more the bactiria duplicates... making ur breath worse.

Q: I have to do this project about Japan and I wanna do either the food or fashion. Like with food, i also wanted to maybe bring in some sushi or something like that.. and its for about 50 people. so yeah people wont get a lot each.. or what else could i serve if i wanted to do foods? and with fashion.. i know their fashion is super kooky so how could i like.. do that? which would be better? this is a big project.. not in school but for this club-thing outside of it. we're going to japan this summer (super excited!!!!!!!

Get it waxed. Only mildly painful. Look great.

Bleaching will just lighten the hair. It dosent make it invisible.

Do it at a time when you are both alone. The less public, the better. You dont want him to have to walk away with everyone staring at him, knowing he just got dumped. Dont tell him you "Need to talk" the day before because if you do, it will have him going insane until you do talk to him. Absuloutly so NOT break up on valentines day, or anything like that. Think about the person. Rejection is easier to take if you dont have to look them in the eye. So it would probably be easier to break up through email. But think about what you would like, and knowing him what you think would sting the least.

Tell him exactly why your breaking up. Honesty will make it easier for him to move on. Do NOT laugh or smile or anything, it will just make him feel worse. Make sure he understands that you know how much its hurting him. If you want you can say you still want to be friends, or you dont have to. Try to give him some space to get over you, and then you could be friends. Hanging out right after might just kill him. Dont call/text/IM at all for at least two weeks.

If he wants to talk about it, talk about it. But onl there at the moment. If you talk about your realtionship afterwards it will probably lead to you getting back together, or at least him getting his hopes up. When the conversation ends, case closed. No more going back.

Try to wait a couple of weeks before dating someone else. Dont flaunt your new boyfriend in front of him. Dont hold hands with other boys when hes around. At least for the first few weeks.

Dont do this at your house because asking him to leave will be so awkward. His place might be the best, because when its over you can just get up and leave. And if hes going to cry, hell already be in his room.

Yeh , he was sending you signs. If you tell him you like him, it might be kind of awkward so just Show him you like him by sending signs back.

Q: I'm 17 and my boyfriend is 18, we've been together a year and a half.

The other day when we were at the mall I saw this really pretty ring and told my boyfriend I really liked it. Later on he asked me what I wanted for christmas and I told him I wanted that ring.

Last night he called me and said, "Is there anything else I can get you other than that ring, because I don't really feel comfortable giving a ring to you" I was really surprised, he said he didn't think it was a good idea because "rings usually mean something else."

I honestly wasn't thinking it to be a "Promise ring" or anything like that, I just really thought it was pretty. Now I'm sort of hurt, not because he won't buy it for me,(and I know its not a money issue either) but because of what he said about not being comfortable giving it to me. I don't know why but it makes me doubt our relationship, and I'm upset about it. What should I do? Should I try to talk to him about it, or would that just make things worse?

Him saying " it usually means Somthing else" isnt exactly good communication on his part. Talk to him and explain you didnt want to get married or anything, but that you just really loved that ring. Then ask him what the problem would be with him giving you a ring. Im sure he has a great answer.

i think your best bet would be to join a class

maybe at the gym or any type of dance class/yoga/high energy/spin class anything just to be moving.

the instructor will help you along with everything, and its a great motivation.

i know you want to excersize certain parts, and thats fabulous but i think your best bet would be to also join a class. thatll keep you committed.

crunches will help ur stomach... try to do 20 a night and when ur ready bring it up to 50.

ur thighs, try jumping jacks or running

Q: 17/f I have a new boyfriend who is really lovely and nice and sweet and is a really decent guy. The thing is, he's not exactly "parent-approval" material, and I just know for a fact my parents would hate him. I don't normally keep the fact I have boyfriends secret from parents, but this time it feels different. For a start, I broke up with my ex pretty soon before I started dating this guy, and my parents LOVED my ex and were quite sad to see us split up! This was still only about 2 months ago.
Also, I've been going to his and seeing him a lot recently. I collapsed about two weeks ago at his house (nothing to do with him!) and lied at my parents about where it happened and said it was at a friend's, and if I told them now they'd definitely put two and two together, and also realise that I haven't actually just been going to a friend's to do homework all the time recently. They would be so angry that I lied!
I know that I have got myself into this situation but what should I do? I've got a feeling I'm gonna be with this guy for a while and I don't want to lie to them forever, and also he has expressed wanting to come to my house etc. But should I tell them that I have been lying to them all ths time?
