I've felt the same way but that is common in women. We all feel that way, yet obviously the guys don't. So you shouldn't worry.

well my best friend is a guy. we hang out a lot alone because we've been friends for so long. well he came over today, my parents are out of town for the weekend, and we were in my room talking and such. there was an awkward moment where it was silent and we kissed. just a long kiss. then we stopped and stared at each other for a second.. then i basically threw him onto my bed and we made out for a while. i'm a virgin but he did it with his ex. so i don't know what came over me it was sort of like a movie scene. we just started taking each other's clothes off and before i knew it we were having sex. well i loved it and um, he's a guy so duh, but after we were done and just laying there i started to regret it a little. i love him but he is my best friend. i never thought of him romantically, but now i just don't know. it really complicated things. he put on his clothes after a little and i said you should go. so i just kissed him goodbye. i guess in that moment i felt really attracted to him and wasn't thinking straight. maybe this has been something that has always been there but i've never noticed it. now i don't know what to say to him or what to do next but i think i could be with him. obviously i feel comfortable around him and safe, and i like him as a person because he's my best friend. but if i am with him and it goes bad, we'll most likely stop being friends.

Don't let your hormones confuse you. Your body wants a baby. Your body wants you to have sex to fertilize an egg. What your heart wants... could be totally different. (Sorry if it sounds weird but that is what my aunt always told me & it's true.)

You need to talk to him. If you're such good friends, if probably won't be so bad. If things weren't awkward during, the after can't be much worse. You have to find out how he feels about you and how he feels about what happened. And don't force yourself to have feelings for him if you don't really like him that way. But if you do, he probably should know how you feel. I don't really know what else to say. GOOD LUCK!!!

Well you shouldn't feel obligated to give excuses. You should be able to tell him the truth. You're shy, you're scared, you're nervous. Maybe unsure of what he will think afterwards? You never know til you try it, but if you are doubting this, it might be better if you wait. Or maybe if you can open up & talk to him, he will find a way to make it more comfortable for you. Listen to the advice of the other columnists, too. Don't say you're ready unless you're 100% (Not 99%!!!) sure it's a true statement.

What kind of guy just decides he wants to be with a girl after not talking to her in soooo long? I am afraid he (and you) expect things to be the same as they were before, but people change with time. Make him give you a reason to get back together and decide whether or not he is going to be serious or is using you so he won't be single. I'm in the exact same situation. I mean, this question sounds like I could have written it! So I'll tell you what I keep telling myself. Give it time! Try ignoring him sometimes and pretending you're not interested. Guys hate it when they don't get attention. But... don't totally run away... that would probably be too hard anyway! But make him miss you. Give him reasons to think about you. It'll keep his interest. Be mysterious. Play mind games. Don't treat him like a brother or like family. Treat him like he's the one in love with you. lol... idk... I'm just throwing out random ideas. Good luck though! I mean it! I feel for ya!

I'm not sure if you'd consider this a scavenger hunt, but it's fun!

Make him a trail... Give him a small box with a piece of paper that says something like, "look in the microwave." Then another slip of paper in the microwave will say another clue like "In my shoe." The types of clues you have will depend on where you do it. You could throw in some fun ones like, "In my bra." lol...

Leading up to doing it is kinda scary, yeah. But once you're actually kissing it's like the coolest thing in the world. The "scary" part is anticipating it. After that your instincts just pretty much take over and it's fun.

My exboyfriend and I were kinda like that too. He was being very hard to read and sometimes it seemed like he loved be, but other times it was like he flat out hated me. And he wouldn't answer any of my questions about how he felt. He'd say "I don't know" so finally I just asked him out because then he'd HAVE to answer yes or no. But enough about me. I suggest that you do something similar to what I did. It may be hard asking, but it's not as bad as driving yourself crazy over not knowing. (Trust me!) Then if he says yes, congratulations! If he says no, then you'll know that he doesn't want to be back with you and you can begin to move on. Just ask him out and (hopefully) he'll be honest with his answer. Good luck; I hope I helped!

OK, here's the deal. I am 13, and I am in 7th grade. My best friend,(9th grade) has been my best friend sence we were like 2 years old. Well I have had a HUGE crush on him sence I was in 1st grade. No. I strongly suggest against it. He sounds like he's just a pervert. Just because he wants to do that stuff doesn't mean he likes you. He just wants some fun and you shouldn't be his victim. You'll only be heart broken when you realize he doesn't like YOU he just likes your female body. He's a horny teenage boy and I think you are too young to be doing that kind of thing anyway. Whoa... this is the third question I've been able to relate to today! Weird! My bf and I broke up during summer too. Never talked or ever even saw each other. Once school got back in he was flat out weird. Sometimes he would seem to hate me, other times it felt like we were still a couple. I'd ask him questions like how he felt about me, but that got me nowhere because he'd always say "I don't know." So finally I just got tired of wondering and wrote him a straight forward note. I asked him out, then added that I really liked him but wasn't sure how he felt and I wasn't sure how to find out besides this. So, we're back together now. We're not picking up where we left off, but we're rebuilding things and I'm really happy that we're together again. So I suggest that you're just straight forward with him. If you two were really close, you should be used to talking to him about personal feelings & stuff. That should make it easier to be open & honest with him. Also keep in mind that guys can be shy. I had a similar problem with my ex. Even now that we're going out he still flirts with my friend. I know what you mean about the play fighting. I get so annoyed because any time she comes around, one of them starts something with the other and I'm left out. I think you have the right to be mad at her. I also think it would be good for the two of you to talk, though. (Before you backhand her and get in a fight then wind up with "Loser" written on your head with highlighter. lol!) Just tell her that whether she's flirting or not, it bothers you. One thing that would be nice to know is whether your ex thinks she's flirting. Maybe you can get her to talk to him and find out if he considers it flirting and if he likes her. He might even use this flirting to try and make you jealous. It's hard to know. Just hang in there. Things will hopefully get better because if your friend is a REAL friend, she'll understand how you feel. It depends on what message you are trying to send him. If you're telling him you like him say, "You are so cool" or something. If you are doing it just for the sake of doing it, say "Hey" or something simple. Good luck with that...

Depending on what you're telling the guy, you might want to see his reaction. So in person would be the best. But if you just don't know how to get the words out, pass him a note but stay to watch him read it and let him reply. Then you are probably able to start a conversation. That's my opinion, anyway.

Q: hi. this is another "guy" question (i'm 14/f). Okay, there's this guy who's not hot at ALL but I seriosly think I love him. I think about him all the time. Looks & friends' opinions aren't good things to go by. If you're not close, I think you ought to start talking to him some more when you get the chance. Maybe write him a note or something. Don't confess you're feelings for him until you've confirmed that you really do have feelings for him. Good luck!
