I have some trouble getting a boyfriend. I'm 13, and I've only had 3 boyfriends where my friends have had a bunch more! It's not like I'm trying to compete, it's just weird! You're thirteen too...relax man, you've got years ahead for boyfriends so if you don't have one now, then enjoy the single life! Once people realize that you have fun on your own, they start to like you for that and you'll be beating them away with a stick.

I'm the same way. Usually, I just put on some Bobbi Brown shadow (get an angled brush and use it as eyeliner. You get the brush damp and then kind of paint it on) in Charcoal and use that. It makes your eyes look bigger. Since I have triple layer, long eyelashes as it is, I never wear mascara because it's too heavy and it makes my eyelashes look fake and kind of freaky.

ok my friend has been going out with this guy for like 8 months now...and he is so hard to trust...my friend is always hearing stories about how he cheated on her...like at parties and he goes to football practice and brags about how he cheats on her...EVERYBODY tells her to dump him and that they doubt that he cares about her...but all she will do is listen to her boyfriend and of course he isnt going to admit all of this to her...but she wont listen to anybody else, shes always giving him another chance..but it needs to stop because now he knows he can get away with anything because she is so forgiving with him, what can i do to make her dump him and let her know that hes lying to her!! *sigh* Well, you can tell her all you want but she won't listen. I'm thinking that she probably has a low self-esteem and thinks that he's the best she can get. A lot of guys do a lot of stupid things like cheating but when they're around their girlfriends, they treat them extremely well. This keeps the girlfriend from dumping him. All you can really do is reassure your friend that she's a great, cool, sweet person. Eventually she'll realsize the truth and you'll have to be the one who's got her back. All you can really do is be there for her afterwards and have her back. Other than that...you could always blackmail him somehow- tell him the game is up. Course that's dangerous work... this is your friend's life, and all you can do is help her pick up the pieces of her life after they seemingly fall apart.

I have a friend and we are like sooooooo close. Anyways she has another friend which is fine with me, but now she's going on this trip with her for a couple of days. And I'm like really jealous. Even though I'm out of town, I went with her on the same trip a couple of years ago and now I'm just extremely jealous. I'm not the kind of person who thinks my friends can only hang out with me but that doesn't stop my jealously! What do I do? Thanks

So..is your jealousy partly because you don't think she's spending enough time with you? Or that you think you're a better friend and deserve to go on the trip more than the other friend? I'd probably be jealous too, and I'm not really the jealous type either. Hmmm...tell your friend how you feel, but before you do, find out what's causing you to be jealous. If you and your friend are really close, she should understand where you're coming from. Also, try getting to know her other friend and see if you guys are compatible. You never know, maybe next year all of you will be going on this trip. Stop me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you feel like your friend is drifting off into some other relationship that doesn't involve you. Just tell your friend how you feel and try to figure out a way to make it all work.

you let her know that you aren't into her in the nicest way possible. Don't just say, "hey quit stalking me, I don't like you," because that's just mean. Just sort of find a way to say that you'd rather stay friends (whether you are or not and whether you mean it or not). Just be considerate of her feelings, because she obviously likes you a lot.

i am a freshman going into higschool, and i have a problem w/ this girl going into 11th grade whos 2 years older than me. well back in middle school we were on the same bus, and she was really mean to me. she would SCREAM mean things to me in front of EVERYONE, like saying im ugly and stuff, and she would take my schoolbag and dump it all over the place, and she would pour soda on me.. it was humiliating.. she used to threaten to beat me up when i got off the bus, and she would have people come up to me and say shit to me. LAST YEAR I TOLD MY MOM AND SHE WENT TO THE SCHOOL AND TOLD OUR PRINCIPLE AND MADE IT WORSE CAUSE THE GIRL ONLY HARASSED ME MORE AND MORE AND PEOPLE MADE FUN OF ME... well now were gonna be on the same bus again, and i wanna know how to handle the situation. if shes yelling at me on the bus, should i say something back? ignore her? ask her if we can talk it out? or ask her why she's doing this since i didnt do anything to her?... i dont want to make her even more mad, because then she'll be worse to me. tell me how to handle it, but dont tell me to call the cops or anything, i wanna know what to do... im REALLY SCARED.. thanks (link)

For some reason, you intimidate her. If she's in 11th grade and still doing this, she's really immature. Ignore it for a while and just stay calm. Get some friends around you who you know'll have your back. If she threatens you, pours soda on you, and tells other people to threaten you- tell someone in authority because you're being harassed. Bottom line though, don't let this chick rule over your life through fear. Stand up to her, but don't stoop to her level.

When the Bible says "Fear the Lord" it's not talking about wrath ans so forth. Basically, it means respect, worship, and all that. All the verse is saying is not to be vain because you're looks won't last forever, but if you trust in God, you'll be rewarded (the reward being heaven.).

I don't really mind emo. That said, I don't really like it either. It's really hard for me to listen to people spending whole albums whining (and their voices do tend to sound like whining) about how they lost their girlfriends, or their dogs, plane ticktes, SOMETHING. I mean really, you'd think they fell in love with everyone and everything because every song sounds the same to me- all heartbroken and slightly pathetic. I guess I'm just easily bored but I rather like variety in my music instead.

Well, the 70's happened. MTV happened. All the time, through commercials, tv shows, movies, and radio, kids are being bombarded with sex. Take a look at the magazines. They make people think that sex is the only important thing on the planet- even the women's lib type magazines, actually, especially those. I mean, I'm all for women's lib but sex isn't the only liberating thing there is for a woman. Sex, nowadays is hype. The media took it and put it under a microscope and made everyone freak out about it and all the kids with no self-worth or respect took it all in as fact and thought it made them cool. It doesn't, but it's hard to clue people in on that. A lot of religious people keep saying all this stuff about their faith in God and then turn around and say if you love them go ahead and do it. Hello! That's hypocrisy! Now we need to have organizations like True Love Waits instead of people just deciding not to. I think, for the benifit of everyone, the waiting till marriage thing is a good idea. However, I know the world's circumstances are only going to get worse.

No, I do it all the time. If you like them as pants and you like them as capris, then keep them as pants and roll them up when you want. Does it really matter if it's dorky? As long as your comfortable, that's all that really matters with clothes.

Who cares if they think you're dumb? Look, if a guy thinks your an idiot for wanting to wait till marriage, you shouldn't be with him anyway. Wait for a guy who respects your views and doesn't pressure you for any of that. If this is what you believe in (and kudos to you for that) then, if they ask, just say no. If they can't handle it, then move on.

Why do so many people use teenbonics and 7334? I do not understand. Teenbonics are generally used by the under-18 group (usually... not always...) and are frustrating for people to read sometimes. Especially if English is not the person's first language. 7334 or leet (short for elite) speak is just as obnoxious. It was originally used by hackers to talk about their... "jobs" in chats and forums so they would not be caught. Is it really so hard to type a few more letters? You is only two more letters than "u" and "lyk" is one letter short of being the proper form, like. Anyone else annoyed by teenbonics? Is there any polite way to correct people (especially friends) who use teenbonics? I know not everyone is perfect... a few capitalization or spelling etc. errors are fine. Constant abuse of the English language is wrong. (link)

You're right. I despise teenbonics. It's annoying and lazy and makes the writer look illiterate. There, unfortunately, isn't really a way to correct it. Usually in chats, etc. I just type what I would say outloud. So, I don't use things like lol, or u, or all those other things. It sort of sets an example, some of my friends are converting back to proper English. But you are absolutely right, teenbonics and 7334. . . . should be banned. Ugh...

You're not weird. I'm 15 and haven't been kissed or had a boyfriend. You aren't fat or ugly and you will find someone- you just have to be patient. Wait for someone worthy of your time. Make sure that you build up your self-esteem and self-respect before you even consider going out with somebody. And don't look at all the teen magazines. Those magazines paint a picture that says everyone is always dating and always have been. It's not true. Ask around, a lot of people you think are always dating aren't. Trust me, you aren't alone.

I'd say that if something inside you told you that what was going on wasn't supposed to be, then what happened was for the best. If you don't know each other that well and he starts doing all this stuff, I'd be weirded out too. hey that's like my hair! Usually what I do is spike it in the back and leave the front down. Sometimes that takes too long so I'll slick all my hair back. If I'm going somewhere nice, I usually spike the back and pin one side of the front back.

I'm not really sure why your friends would care. And you're right, girls say stuff to their friends about guys all the time. It's just the double standard- we want you to look at us, but you can't say anything. We're weird like that. Usually I'm flattered by that kind of thing- you know, if someone whistles at you- but then again I've never had anybody yell out stuff about my butt, etc. We really don't make sense with this one, so all you can do is keep the thoughts to yourself...or ask them what they thought of her. Girls always have opinions on other girls.

Uh..well, your plan probably will not work. He's so stuck on his crush that he probably doesn't care that much that you're helping him. If you still want to help him, well fine go ahead but don't get your hopes up that he's going to suddenly realize that you're the one he really wnats. It's not gonna happen.
