I got a shot and my arm is bruised and blood is coming out
Question Posted Thursday August 12 2004, 5:20 pm
i got a shot 2 weeks ago and there is still a big bruise around it and every once in a while a little bubble of blood comes out. why is it still doing that after 2 weeks?
xo_dream answered Friday August 13 2004, 4:31 am: Maybe whoever gave you the shot hit a vein or something, or the needle just went in wrong. That's really weird, though. Put a band-aid on it and call the doctor's office to see if that's even remotely normal. [ xo_dream's advice column | Ask xo_dream A Question ]
Fish answered Thursday August 12 2004, 9:39 pm: they probably just hit a vein and it formed some sort of blood blister. If it really bothers you, then go see a doctor. [ Fish's advice column | Ask Fish A Question ]
sportscutie13 answered Thursday August 12 2004, 7:45 pm: ewwww- I think you just popped a vain when you got the shot really bad- that's how bruises form- when your vain pops. It usually shouldn't take this long to heal. I think you should bandage it up and if it is not better soon, go back in to check it out because it may be an allergic reaction or something. JamesBaybiGurl answered Thursday August 12 2004, 6:06 pm: I know its suppose to do that because its loosing all the bacteria and waste in your bruise, But if ou feel its more then a little you should definetly tell your parents, or go see the doctor!
lorelei answered Thursday August 12 2004, 5:33 pm: Tell your parents and go back to your doctor. Either your nurse did something VERY wrong, or you may be having a bad reaction to the medicine.
