When I was younger, oral sex was just as crazy a thought as sex. (I didn't even know what it was until summer before 9th grade - and I didn't know in detail what it was). I suppose she doesn't know you can get STDs from oral sex. Too bad for her.

Jack, I think it's partially the media, 'cause I know that my parents did some pretty crazy stuff in their teen years. One of which eventually ruined part of my aunt's wedding. But that's another story for another day =D
What concerns me the most is like, seventh graders thinking they're pregnant. They're what, twelve? Thirteen? Go ride a bike or something. At that age boys still had cooties =P

I don't really think our generation does it more (maybe a little more), I just think it's more publicized and the topic is more... desensitized (sp?). I think that we don't really see it as something horrible any more. The media is making it more okay (just like they do with underage drinking, drunk driving, etc. Just look at some of MTVs shows..).
People aren't as shocked by sex acts any more...

And in some ways, it's good that subjects are less taboo & more openly discussed between parents and kids.
I'm not trying to contradict myself, but for those who are responsible & mature, I think it's a good thing to be able to discuss with parent[s] things like birth control & condoms & all that.
It also prevents a lot of guilt/sneaking around their backs.
