Pubic Hair Advice

Question Posted Wednesday February 25 2009, 1:30 am

I've had sex before.. and I guess I wasn't so nervous about this issue because I was with my boyfriend for two years.. and comfortable around him...

but anyways, I'm single now.. and I'm about to hook up with a friend this weekend. I don't want to completely shave and seem like I haven't been through puberty because I hear shaving all the way freaks some guys out... but at the same time I don't want a lot of pubic hair..

I shaved a couple days ago, and I'm seeing him Thursday night, I mean.. I wanna make sure I have no stubble . . but I don't know how to exactly groom myself to make it look nice.. should I just let it grow in, shave my bikini line?

That way it's not too hairy.. but there's no stubble.

I don't know.. any advice would be appreciated.

I have never heard of a guy who had a negative reaction to shaving it off. I know guys who like a full bush exist, I've just never met any of them.

Most guys don't mind a hair above the actual vag that much, but hairless lips both feel better and are more fun to play with.

As to shaving, invest in a beard trimmer. They're cheap, effective, and let you get a very close trim to the point that the hairs practically not there without the problems of ingrown hairs and such.

trust me most guys are just happy to be having sex! but if you wanna look your best (which i'm sure you do if it's the 1st time with a new guy and all) then go for the safe option of having a small triangle or strip.. some guys like a 'full bush' some like no hair but you can guarantee that 99% of guys will be happy with a brazilian

Most guys don't care as long as it's not A LOT of hair, like out of control. If you don't want to shave it completely, you could always just shave the bikini line, or leave a little strip or something.

He'll be happy just to get there. As long as it's not "outta control" you'll be fine.

The stigma these days is to shave it bald, but I'm telling you, if there was any va-jay-jay in the room with me right now, I wouldn't be answering questions on a website no matter what the hairstyle.

Choices

1. Shave the area that would be seen if you were wearing a bikini. Go with the grain of the hair, from the leg in to avoid razor burn. Applying deoderant also helps with bumps. Trim all other hair to a neat length.

2. You can also keep the hair on the pubic bone, but shave the outer lips down below, but keep in mind that if you choose this method, you might have to keep it up because stubble can be painful to your partner.

I agree with you; I don't like the totally bald look, either. You say you have shaved recently, so run your hand over the area. If it is prickly, you might have to shave again if you plan on being intimate to avoid hurting your partner, but if it isn't prickly I think neatly trimmed is the way to go.

Most men don't care whether you have carpet or linoleum floors. Vagina is vagina in most men's eyes. The only time they usually care is when they want to perform oral sex. In this case, most men prefer completely shaven. It's the 2000's, and I haven't yet met a man who is afraid of 0 pubic hair. I have, however, met men who are scared of a lot of hair. It's really up to you. If the guy isn't shallow, he won't even care/notice what kind of grooming you've done. You could always try a landing strip, or shave everything below the beginning entrance of the lips.
