Democrats??
ok so people told me that all 3 of the presidential candidates are Christian but (not trying to offend anyone here) how can you be a Democrat and a Christian?? Democrats are for stem cell research (using developing babies for science!! thus killing them, etc.) and they are for abortion (basically murdering a baby) and they are ok with gay unions and marriages and such. i mean those things definitely go against God!! its right there in the Bible!! im NOT trying to offend im just truly puzzled by how they can support this when it is so clearly not the wish of God. thank you :)

Honestly, religion and politics are completely different topics.
I'm a Christian democrat, and I support gay marriage 100%. Why? Because that is THEIR choice. If God decides to punish gay people for getting married, then whatever. I believe they should have a choice because MY religion should not impact OTHER people.
I support abortion, too. This doesn't mean that I like abortion. It means that women should be able to make that decision for themselves. Sure, most Christians might be against it, but it is not for the Christians to decide what every American should do.
Technically, divorce is against the bible, too. But Christians divorce all the time. Why can divorce be okay, but gay marriage cannot? They are BOTH against God, according to the bible.
Basically, what it boils down to is, yes, I'm a Christian, but I think other people should do whatever they want. Other people should not have to live according to my religious beliefs.

No one sane believes all, or even most of what the bible teaches. Leaders of the Christian faith pick and choose the parts they agree with. You are entitled to your pro-life beliefs, but don't hide behind your religion. The bible can be interpreted in pretty much any way you want. Your interpretation is your opinion, not the opinion of the Christian faith as a whole.

Wow. Just, wow. You clearly need to do some reasearch. Google "seperation of church and state", for one thing. We live in a country where we are lucky to have freedom of religion. It's ridiculous to say someone can't do something because THEIR god says that they can't.
And stem cell research is using developing babies for science?? What?! Okay. Let's say a woman can't get pregnant naturally. Long story short, they'll end up with about 100 stem cells, but obviously won't insert ALL of them into her, correct? They'll use the extras for stem cell research. Nobody else is going to use them, trust me. They'll literally just end up on a shelf for the rest of their life, unless for some reason this woman decides she wants 100 babies. Instead of sitting on a shelf for all of eternity, how about actually using them to save lives?? Gee, what an idea, right? They WILL NOT develop, which you clearly are misunderstanding.
And ZOMG two people are in love with eachother. But AHH both of them have a penis! What shall we do? Clearly we must outlaw this travesty. Because in a country that is the land of the free, we must only allow people to get married if we agree with them. Who cares if they're born with their desire, SURELY it is our duty to decide whether they should be married or not.

people have already commented on the issues you brought up on your post, so i won't reiterate their comments. what i do want to mention, however, is the fact that the bible also states very clearly that we need to help the poor, the less fortunate, the needy. jesus says this and demonstrates it throughout the new testament, right? democrats very often try to pass bills through congress to help the poor. for example, democrats often try to tax really rich people with lots of money so that they can relieve the stress on the poor people by lowering their taxes. the rich still remain really rich and can still afford their luxuries, but for the poor this can mean a house or a car.
therefore, even if you don't agree with some social beliefs of the democrats, you can see how they try and help the needy.

You really, seriously need to go do some research. Or take a United States history or government or economics class. That's just about all I can tell you.
Have you ever heard of separation of church and state? It does not matter what the president's religion is- he or she will govern by what is best for the country, not what fits into his or her particular religion. So the factor of religion here is completely irrelevant.
To give you an idea of the current state of our union, here is something that I wrote not long ago:
"We have over a 9 trillion dollar national debt. Over 36 million Americans are living in poverty. Forty-seven million are uninsured. Our consumer credit debt is 12.8 trillion dollars. The dollar is rapidly losing value. Thirty-two percent of Americans view our current President favorably. Sixty percent of our fuel is imported. We lost the war a long time ago. In other news, the rest of the world hates us because we are undoubtedly a bunch of idiots.
As for the rebate checks, that's awesome for Wal*Mart's revenue. (Shout out to Canada, China, Mexico, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, and Vietnam.) Why don't we just throw our money in the oven and burn it? We could really learn a thing or two about finance from Jean-Baptiste Colbert (and a thing or two about politics in general from George Santayana- "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.")
Evidently, our foreign policy needs some work. Oh, and we're eliminating the middle class.

Hun I truly don't believe anyone is really for abortion. They just believe it's a women's right to choose what she wants done. I personally could never have one, but I don't believe I have the right to stop someone else from having it done. It's like this with the conservative side. They care about the fetus (the unborn child in the women's stomach) as soon as the baby is born though, basically it's on it's own. Really no health care is provided for the child and unless their willing to adopt the child I think men should keep their mouth shut on the whole issue period. And with gay marriage, honestly does that really affect you as a person? As long as gays and lesbians aren't around me, I could care less. Yeah let them get married. It's not their fault there like that. A lot of people will become gay if they go through molestation or if there raped as a child. Or simply they may be a man in a women's body for the fact they have more male hormones. Same with the female side. And for the bible? Honestly I don't believe a word in it. I believe it's made up. Honestly I don't see how our "soul" is going to go up in the sky when we die so we can see everyone of our loved ones again. I believe it's all make believe fairy tale land if you want my opinion. And with the stem cell research well... Abortion hasn't been banned yet and until it is why get rid of everything that's left. My dad has cancer and I wish they could find a way to help him.

some people are weird like that. I mean just because you are Christian doesnt mean that you are immune to sin. The Devil tempts and when you think about it yes it is wrong for them to get stem cells from unborn babies but at the same time the cells save lives. So is it really wrong??
and i agree with the abortion thing. How anyone can go for abortion just makes me wonder. Actually it makes me want to inflict pain upon them. Its murder.
But like i said its just what some believe. The Bible also says you shouldnt get tattoos or have sex til marriage. People sin and we are not always safe from it. People make bad decisions.
