i find this very annoying myself. this often happens when a song comes out. people will sing or rap parts of the song. and in this case, people think its "cool" to go around saying ey baby. unfortunately.

It's just a fun thing to do. Everyone does it, & there's nothing wrong with it.

Plus, it's catchy and sort of fun to say even if it is irrelevant to the situation at hand. People always go around saying random stuff like that and sing random lines they can remember. lol there's this show where they test people to see if they know the lyrics to songs but they usually just know the most famous part. You can definitely see the influence the media and culture has on us.

Everyone just likes taking sayings from songs.
Just like, "Drop it like it's hott", "I'm bringing sexy back", and "This is why I'm hott."

people tend to like taking things from songs and using them in everyday conversation...remember when we all loved everything like a "fat kid loves cake" or when we all wanted to bring "sexy back" it's just a thing people tend to do and in time it will pass just like everything else
