does anyone know any diet pills that are effective and that 14 year olds can buy? and that are also not too too expensive? i need to lose some weight and what i'm doing is not working out.
and i'm probably ruining my body but i don;t care anymore. 121 pounds is too much for me.
anyone who can offer any advice thank you very much :]
It shows you the dangers of diet pills. It'll ruin your metabolism which will be harmful when you're older. If you want to lose weight do a good healthy diet and exercise like cardio to jumpstart losing weight.
If you do want to try a diet pill try Alli, it's FDA approved which is a good bonus but you'll need to practice good dieting practices like a low fat diet and exercise. Honestly my doctor said it isn't worth it but I don't know try it I guess.
2tammy2 answered Wednesday June 27 2007, 4:27 pm: ok im 14 and im an inch shorter and 116 lbs or maybe more im not sure, anyway i feel fat but everyone always tells me how skinny iam and its true iam besides guys really like curves they like me better now then if i were skinnier im sure.
i walk a couple miles a day and i try to watch my food not working lol, but excercize is wonderful it makes me feel really good out in the fresh air.
Besides the only thing i've ever heard about diet pills is they make you crap your pants all the time i think guys would like a girl with curves more than one that is poor(from buying pills) and smells horrible.
And this saying helped me so maybe it'll help you:
Look at yourself in the mirror and think what your grandma would say and whatever comes to mind is probably true [ 2tammy2's advice column | Ask 2tammy2 A Question ]

Siren_Cytherea answered Wednesday June 27 2007, 4:02 pm: I answered a question very similar to this a couple days ago, so I'm going to tell you exactly what I told her:
No.
Don't. Buy. Diet pills. EVER, no matter what age you are. They're extremely unsafe and unhealthy and they can make you jittery and screw up your emotions.
If you really want to lose weight, start eating a healthier diet, and work out. It's slow going, but it's much safer, and MUCH more permanent than the effects of pills.
Supplement pills and diet pills are very expensive - this is why it's better to do it the old fashioned way - hard work. =P
If you want details as to how to lose weight a HEALTHY way, feel free to drop one in my inbox...I know how you feel, but don't resort to what I did (the diet pills/fat burners). They make you feel horrible. Be kind to your body: fix your diet and start working out. If you're that desperate to lose weight, you NEED to try a workout regimen. If that's the only thing you're not doing, you've got nothing to lose by trying it.
Take my advice. I've been where you are.
Also, 121 might be a perfectly reasonable weight for you, depending on your height. Next time, please let us know how tall you are.
If you're between 5'2" and 5'4", 121 is a great weight.
Keep in mind that you're fourteen - you're still growing, and you can still lose weight easily. Your body is very impressionable.
Do you like biking? It's summer. Take bike rides around your neighborhood. Just being a little active helps kick your metabolism into gear and will help you lose weight.
Let me know if you want more exercise ideas, but I can almost guarantee that everyone here will tell you not to take diet pills, that exercise is the answer.
Good luck!
-Siren =)
[Edit]: Thanks for adding your height. You don't need to lose weight at all. For every inch over 5' you add 5 pounds to find your ideal weight starting at 5'0" = 100 pounds. Based on that, you could actually be 4 pounds heavier and absolutely fine. [ Siren_Cytherea's advice column | Ask Siren_Cytherea A Question ]
lbwhite89 answered Wednesday June 27 2007, 3:22 pm: There is exactly one diet pill that's DHA approved, and that's Alli. However, NO diet pill, even Alli, are supposed to be used by a 14 year old. And no diet pills should be used on ANYONE that weighs 121 pounds. Your body can't handle it. And, lastly, NO diet pill is inexpensive. They all cost a pretty good deal of money.
You're just going to have to do it the old fashion way. Diet and exercise, just like everyone else. Losing weight takes time, and I'm just guessing here, but you're probably already too skinny for your height. [ lbwhite89's advice column | Ask lbwhite89 A Question ]
Cux answered Wednesday June 27 2007, 3:22 pm: Even though you're not going to want to hear this, I have to say it. Don't, whatever you do, take diet pills. Yes, they will mess up your body, and its not going to be good. You'll feel worse than being normal [i.e. 121 pounds for a 14 year old]. Plus, you're really young and probably can't buy them anyway.
Trust me, you're perfect the weight you are. Would you rather be really skinny and sick all the time.
runawayxlove answered Wednesday June 27 2007, 3:21 pm: Hey, well it depends on your height on what a good weight for you would be. If your 5`0 a good weight for you is 100 pounds. everytime you go up in height, you add 5 pounds. So like 5`1 = 105 and 5`2 = 110 etc. By the way, this is according to my doctor. easterngirl answered Wednesday June 27 2007, 3:20 pm: Well diet pills have the drug speed in it.
They are not healthy for you.
Most diet pills are effective.
Try going to your family doctor and let him prescribe a diet pill for you, those are always safe.
But I don't think 121 is bad. That is actually a very good weight for a 14 year old.
:D
Hope I helped.
Sorry if I didn't. [ easterngirl's advice column | Ask easterngirl A Question ]
