Weird food.

Question Posted Monday June 25 2007, 6:50 pm

Moments ago I made french fries, I was looking for an alternative to ketchup (because it gets old) and came up with garlic ketchup. More simply, it's ketchup with garlic powder mixed in. It's not bad.

My question is, however, what are some weird foods/combos that are enjoyable?

I always find seem to find weird food combinations that are really good. Try:

-Ramen noodles and chocolate syrup (but don't boil the ramen noodles, just take them out of the package, break them apart, and put chocolate syrup on them.
-Crumble up doritos and put them in a salad or soup.
- Those jumbo pretzel things with ranch dressing. Actually, practically anything tastes good with ranch dressing.
-Put cheetos in sandwiches.
-Try putting salsa on hamburgers instead of ketchup. =)

Hamburgers with jelly on them (no Cheese)is
one I like but get weird looks for. If I ever
have to eat one of those breakfast sausage things,
it improves them too. :)

Oreos and Salsa. My best friend SWEARS by it.
Ice cream with salsa.
Tortilla chips and chocolate.
Popcorn and chocolate syrup.
Potato chips and icing.
idk if this counts, but I have a garlic dip recipe if you like sour cream. 3 parts sour cream to one part dressing, stir, add onion powder and garlic powder. My sister likes it with apples and strawberries.
Actually, there's a whole book on it... its something like "Little known delacacies for college students"... you could check and see if your library has it!

Ashumms answered Monday June 25 2007, 8:56 pm:
Banana or chocolate pancakes with peanut butter instead of syrrup. Regular pancakes with peanut butter and mustard is also very good. I know it sounds gross, but just try it. You can pretty much add peanut butter to anything, like carrots or baked potatoes. It's the same way with pancakes, you can add anything to them, like gravy or salsa.

Just take anything in your kitchen for example. What are two things that you love but would never think of putting together? I bet it would taste delicious.

Think pickles and french fries on toasted bread with salsa as a condiment.

Tuna salad with mozzarella cheese inside of a baked potato.

Use your imagination and you can find tons more.

Hope you like these too.
