Hey, well having a relationship with someone 18 or older when you are underage is fine. The topic about having sex or doing sexual things is not fine. Thats the illegal part. Now most guys 18 and older will say that they will wait.. but don`t mean it. Sure for the first few weeks/months of dating they will stick with it. But eventually they will push the sexual stuff. They will say things like "Oh, everyone accepts our relationship and no one will know". Dont fall for it, because A) your underage and B) you said before that you wanted to wait. All girls have standards and yours is waiting until your older, or maybe even until marriage. Keep it and dont change it for anyone but yourself. =]

No, this is not legal. Most states have laws against relationships between 18 year olds and girls under 16. The ONLY time it is not a crime is when the girl and boy are both under 18, and there is only 2 years difference between them. At this point, your relationship is already illegal. Have you seend the sex offender registries on line. There is one for each state. ON it you will see young men, like your boyfriend, who fell in love with a young girl and had relations. They got caught, and the state pressed charges. That is because this issue is so prevalent in the news. The police department wants to look like it is doing it's job. So they press charges. The boys, in this case ran up thousands of dollars in legal bills, and have records that, like I said, follow them for the rest of their lives.
Now, if you are SURE 100% that you two can keep sex out of the relationship until you are over 16, then by all means develop your friendship and look to the future. That is the onlyway you can be sure that you will not invite more trouble than you can handle into your lives. I know it is possible to accomplish this. Always keep this in mind. If you both love each other, and hope to have a future together, or even a future with out each other if that is how it ends, up, but a future with the pain and hearth ache of a criminal conviction, that you need to respect each other and yourselves, and keep the relationship platonic until you are 16. I would not stear you wrong. I know nice young men that this has happned to. They too, thought that something like this could never happen, it was like a night mare for them and their families and the girl, and the girl's family too. I hope you heed this advice. You will be glad in the end that you waited.

It really depends on where you live. do a search for age of consent where you live, for example, if you live in california like i do go in most states, it would be illegal to do anything sexual, even with parental permission,

Well this is a tricky situation. What are you asking exactly - what do you mean by 'it'? The relationship? No, the relationship itself isn't illegal, but anything sexual that goes on is, as you're under 16. That is, if you live in the UK. Check out the 'Age of Consent' where you live.
Even with your parents' permission, you're not allowed to do that kind of sexual thing if you're under the age of consent where you live. However if you two really care about each other you should wait until it's legal and try to have a relationship without any sexual interaction, until you are old enough to give consent.
Don't be put off by the age gap, anyway. You can still have a relationship. Good luck and don't do anything illegal!
Edit with Additional Information: Keep it platonic. Completely. Nothing sexual at all because that is the *only* way you can be together properly. Now this requires a lot of trust and love but it can be done. And if you do manage it then it means... yay! You have a great relationship and it'll last for a long time. If you dont manage it it means one of two things: You did something sexual or you broke up. I would advise you, if it looks like its going to fail, to break up and not have sex because it could ruin this guy's life forever. A terrible prospect right? But don't lose heart! You can do this and you dont have to suffer during it, you can have lots of fun still and have a great time but only if you're committed to the future and serious about each other.
Believe me, I know what I'm talking about here. I have experience.

Regardless it is illegal for an 18 to be having any type of sexual intercourse with someone under age. It can be considered a type of rape and he can be put in jail for it. If your parents are ok with it there is nothing to worry about. I'm 15 and my boyfriend is 18.
