being serious and having posters is effective, but just breaking teh tension of the elections, comic relief, just doing something diffrent than everybody else is a great way to catch somebodys attention..
another good way,a s mentioned, food! lol, candy! put stickers on them and hand them out, etc etc.
nadine204 answered Saturday May 26 2007, 4:32 pm: posters is one thing you can do, but in my school we had a limit of only 10 posters, so i passed out flyers and got a basket full of suckers and put stickers on them that said VOTE FOR (NAME)
you know those glow in the dark stars? well go get a couple packets of them and put a sticker on each one( or you can write with marker) VOTE FOR (NAME) and you can add whatever you want on there too then just pass them out
most people in our school liked candy so thats where i got most votes.
i also got many votes by passing out VITAMIN WATER( ALOT OF PEOPLE IN MY SCHOOL ARE VITAMIN FINATICS) that said VOTE FOR (NAME)
honestXmiistake answered Saturday May 26 2007, 11:37 am: some girl in my school had a sticker that said vote for her with a picture of borat on it saying "iss nice" or whatever it is lol. it's so random, but people like it and think it's funny.. and they'll remember her because of it. think of something completely random like that, so that it catches people's attention and they remember you and will vote for you! :) [ honestXmiistake's advice column | Ask honestXmiistake A Question ]
orphans answered Saturday May 26 2007, 8:56 am: my friend printed out 23948203985 posters, but instead of putting them on hallways, she was too lazy, and only decorated one door haha. it was completely decorated with like 20-30 posters? anyways it was really cool and funny so you should do that and put a lot around the hallways
make them really colorful and nice and come up with good slogans which i could help you think of some if you need it [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
twistedsister17 answered Saturday May 26 2007, 6:56 am: Don't try to bribe people into voting for you. That's one of the most common mistakes people make. For example, there is one girl who's running for president at my school, and she comments all of my pictures on Myspace in an attempt to get me to vote for her. But bribery only makes people dislike you more.
The way to win is to be truthful and friendly to everyone, without being overly friendly. Make posters, or if you have Myspace or AIM, put something about it in your profile. You could even make a website on freewebs.com for it. Keep talking to people, and let them know exactly what you would do if you were class president. But make sure you ask others what they would want to change about the school. People are more likely to vote for you if you can relate to them.
