HypnotizexMe answered Sunday April 1 2007, 10:56 am: wear flats and lean to one side when you are standing
but 5'6 isnt that tall and you are lucky!
i wanna be like you, im 5'3.
and its okay cause my friend is 5'11 and she models. and beingabout 5'6 can give you a lot of advantages /
guys are usually around 5'8 so you dont have to worry about that
its okay 5'6 is NOT tall
its_melissa_DuH answered Sunday April 1 2007, 9:50 am: nope, just as other people said wear flat shoes all the time. that's not tall at all! my 12 year old friend is 5'8 lol! there are many advantages of being tall, you can model, play volleyball, basketball, or any other sport.
x_C010rMyW0r1d answered Saturday March 31 2007, 10:39 pm: I know how you're feeling,
I'm 16 and 5'8", but I've found
that it's best to be confident.
I used to wear flats and flip flops
all the time so I wasn't too much
taller than guy friends of mine,
but now I find that wearing heels
gives me greater confidence, and
turns some heads as well.
Sorry if this doesn't help, just
my opinion. =) [ x_C010rMyW0r1d's advice column | Ask x_C010rMyW0r1d A Question ]
TheWallflower answered Saturday March 31 2007, 10:14 pm: there aren't ways to make yourself shorter, but there are ways to make yourself appear shorter. Wear flat shoes and don't wear those tight skinny jeans. They will make your legs appear to be longer.
Also, 5 6 isn't tall. If you're in middle school, it might appear to be tall for a girl, but in highschool, that's the average, if not below average heigh for a girl. [ TheWallflower's advice column | Ask TheWallflower A Question ]
LagunaBabe answered Saturday March 31 2007, 9:51 pm: I'm fourteen, and two inches taller than you! Except I love it. :)
No, I'm afraid you can't make yourself shorter. However, you can make yourself appear more short.
Wear shoes such as ballet flats, sandals, etc. Nothing with a heel, basically.
happybabe2 answered Saturday March 31 2007, 9:24 pm: im 14 and 5'7 and if there was something that made me shorter i would buy it in an instant... but there's not sorry.. ill let u know if i hear of a miracle product haha [ happybabe2's advice column | Ask happybabe2 A Question ]
solidadvice4teens answered Saturday March 31 2007, 8:29 pm: There's really nothing you can do. Height is pre-determined by your genes. Nobody can change it neither you or someone else for you. There's no medical proceedure or anything like that.
If it helps 90% of people hate their height. People who are tall want to be short (so they can stop hitting their head on stuff) and short people want to taller. There's nothing any of us can do about choosing our height I'm afraid.
Most of the girls that you know of may be about 5 ft 2 or 5 ft 4 which is average. They're all secrectly wishing they could be you and have those extra inches. Everyone is insecure about this so you're in good company there.
kendrabdatgirl answered Saturday March 31 2007, 8:22 pm: well sorry to say this but no there isn't..you'll eventually decrease in height as you become old though. There are ways to appear shorter like kepping your hair in a pony tail..the only advice i can give you is that to be happy the way you are you were born and shped the way you are for a reason.. take advantage of your height, sports(basketball of course..right), modeling..etc..well anyways you have to be happy with the way you are there are people who dont grow more then 3 feet. love yourself and evetually you'll realize why you were made the way you were...hope i helped [ kendrabdatgirl's advice column | Ask kendrabdatgirl A Question ]
HOPLESSxROMNTC answered Saturday March 31 2007, 8:09 pm: Buy shoes that don't add height like flats, etc.
Also bend your legs a little when your standing, like stand on one hip if you get what I'm saying.
