orphans answered Saturday March 31 2007, 10:59 pm: like the person below me said, lemon juice. It really works.
heres how :
..lemon juice doesnt not work unless there is:
light- SUN or plant light, because of UV lights.
do not use straight up lemon juice, mix with water & wash out thoroughly. USE CONDITIONER TO SMOOTH YOUR HAIR. otherwise your hair will be rough and look bad. as an alternative to lemon juice, try 2 cups of WARM water and 2 bags of chamomille tea. it lightens your hair, brings out natural highlights you never even knew you had, smells GREAT! doesnt look bad and soften and makes you hair shine.. add a tablespoon or 2 of lemon juice into that mix for best results...
bandgeeksunite answered Saturday March 31 2007, 10:25 pm: lemon juice is aaaamazing. it lightens it little by little, and is also reallly good for your hair because it cleans of all the residue from shampoo and crap. just make sure you rinse it out completely, and use a lot of conditioner--olive oil works really well afterwards. crazyinlove09 answered Saturday March 31 2007, 8:46 pm: okay well i have dark brown hair and also wanted mine lighter and decided to do blonde highlights ... WORST decision ever i had to get them covered cause i didnt like them and now have a film on my hair and have to use special shampoo and wash it twice a day its a drag so im sorry for telling you my own story but i felt the need...
anyway i suggest dont use anything but good old sunlight that always does the trick but anything else even gels and stuff can damage your hair and you deffinitrly DONT want that ...(my mom works in a hair salon so thats how i know all this so take my advice!).. hope i helped
mystical_breeze answered Saturday March 31 2007, 8:44 pm: Well I know when it starts getting sunnier and warmer outside, your hair will usually get lighter. Also swimming in a pool with chlorine will usually bleach your hair. I just got my hair dyed with only a few blonde highlights and it looks really good. It won't be too damaging to just get highlights and not use a lot of product in your hair. You could ask a hair stylist what they think you should do about lightening up your hair.
