Period
I got my period, but I havent told my mom. Im shy and its weird talking to her. How should I tell her?

instead of coming out and just telling her;; tell her that you've become a woman now and she'll know what your talking about

Just go to her in private and be like
"Mom,I started my period."
it's that easy :]

and i had to tell my dad and brother.

Sooner the better if you won't tell her she might suspect something is wrong with your body and consult with your doctor why you haven't gotten your period. First day i got my period i woke up and got it and i yelled across the room "MOM I GOT MY PERIOD GO GET ME A TAMPON!!" i was calm like it happened before so my mother understood.
Everyone gets their period tell your mother that it was embarassing telling her you got your period at first when i was 11 i was afraid to go buy tampons then in like 2 months i would walk in grab the tampons and buy them there is nothing strange or weird about it.

She is your mom you shouldnt feel scared just go in the bathroom and pretend you got it just then. If you can't even tell her this you might not have a great relationship w/ her.

welll when i told my mom. it was right when it happened. i yelled from the bathroom, "MOM I GOT MY PERIOD" & that was that haha.. so just bring it up, what are you so scared of? whats the worst that can happen she knows you're gunna get it sooner or later

You yell : MUM! GET ME THE FREAKIN PAD!
But really, you don't have to tell her. Just go and get the pad by yourself. If she happens to see you taking the pad, she'll know. If she asks bout it, say "yeah isn't that great?"

I was the same. So what I did was casually walk into the kitchen and say "mum, where do you keep the pads"?
she soon caught on and that was it!

i got my period for the first time too recently... i just told her AND my dad. pretty much everyone knew. idk its weird. just say something like"
Mom.. i got my perioddd.
or
mom i need you to get me some pads....and shell prob. get why..
you know?

Just be natural about it. It was hard for me too! I waited a few days, lol.
Here's how I did it.
"Umm... hey mom can I talk to you for a second?" In a very shy tone and she immediately knew what I meant. If your mom doesn't immediately know, that's FINE! Just say, "Mom, I need to tell you something. I... am at that time of month. Let's just say I've sort of opened a new chapter in my life, you know?" And she'll probably understand what you mean by that! I hope it works out! I know how hard that is, I've been there! But it's really important to tell her due to seeing a doctor, etc. It's gotta show up on your records, so good luck.
