Question Posted Tuesday January 30 2007, 7:54 pm

I am wearing a kind of a fire-truck red dress to an event, what is a good color nail polish to wear with it. NOT a matching shade of red, or pink. Oh and I am wearing red shoes too

Kind of like a pearl color, or a French Mannequire is totally the way to go!

If you're feeling adventurous, you could try shiny black polish. I've seen it work, but it depends on your personality.

If there is any accent colour at all on your dress, you could try doing that. Or, you might try matching your nail polish to a small decoration in your hair.

Silver is good too. If it's fire-truck red, I wouldn't recommend gold or any colour like green, blue, etc. Of course, without seeing the dress it's hard to know.

Enjoy your event!

gold would look great. gold works great against red. teal blue, white, and deep purple would also look book. white looks great with anything, and makes your nails stand out against the red, without taking too much attention off your dress.

When I wear red I usually stick to black or silver nail polish with a good shiny topcoat

Teza answered Tuesday January 30 2007, 8:44 pm:
I'd go with just white tips or red tips but you don't want to match it. Gold looks good with red but there really isn't any other color that would work so it doesn't look tacky.

i'd say either silver, or you can do the french manicure thing.
