i have asked plenty of guys out in the past, but they all turned me down. i'm surely not ugly. i'm skinny (average skinny) and i look pretty anyway without make-up. and i have really pretty hair too. and i have a lot of friends and a lot of people have told me i have a great personality.

the thing is, i'm tired of being turned down. i want a guy (that i like) ask me out. and i'm actually not very picky about the guys i like. don't get me wrong, guys notice me when i pass them, i just don't know why they're so afaid to ask me out.

what do you think i'm doing wrong? and/or should i just be patient a little bit longer?
and what are some tips i might need to get a guy?

i'm tired of walking through the halls at school and watching people be happy and hugging and making-out. i feel like an outsider looking in. i want to part of the happiness.

well, there is the possibility that you're jumping into a committment too quickly. guys are idiots. they're afraid of that.

maybe just work on becoming friends with them first, then slowly get them to like you.

you say you catch their attention when you walk by. well the thing is, here's some advice you'll use for the rest of your life: if a guy wants to get with you, that doesn't mean he likes you.

remember, slowly build up to a relationship. start as friends!!

Whenever I like a guy, I feel nervous around him and feel it hard to talk calmly with him. In our computers class, i sit next to this reallynice guy, but I'm afraid to just talk to him. I don't want to be rejected or seem desperate. In fact, i don't even want him to know that i'm interested, because then i'm afraid that he'll be weirded out.

maybe you're just giving off more friendly vibes rather than romantic vibes? try and flirt a little more, it'll help.

also, if you're popular, then there is the possibility that the guys are scared of rejection. i mean, popularity can be intimidating.

my parents are in a huge money crunch. we can barely afford anything we had to cancel the 50$ 2nd phone line. and my mom tries to get me things i like such as abercrombie && hollister but she cant afford it. it hurts me. i dont know what to do because my friends have soo much money.

well, tell her she doesn't have to get you that kind of stuff. but don't tell her you don't like it. that'll break her heart.

and you yourself should try to cut down on expenses.

i understand it's hard to be friends with people who have a lot more money than you, but here's the thing: if they're really your friends, you can tell them about it, and they won't rub it in your face. if they try to help, and you don't want charity, politely decline it.

i drink. my frieds dont. and they do not aprove. at all . im trying to convince them its funn but they just call me a druggie and i feel really bad. but my other friends acccpt me for me "fun" side.

i can say i have the same problem. i drink, but my friends don't. let me say this: it's bad for you. as long as you don't do it all the time, im sure there's not too much harm. but i may be wrong. i only do it once every 3 or something weeks. your friends aren't trying to make you feel bad. they just care about you.

you have two choises: laugh and shrug it off, or stop, and make them feel better.

p.s. you're right, it is fun, but it won't be later on.

I want some ideas to totally change up my outfits. Most of my creativity is drained out and now become trends at our school .. so now I'm just back to looking just like everyone else.

I dress more on the girly side usually with some crazy pattern, shoe, or necklace thrown in to offset the style. Latley, I've been mixing up my hair textures (curls, straight etc) but now everything seems so overdone. Any ideas?

well, what i reccomend, is look through an issue of Vogue and mix up the outfits they feature in there.

also, go for things that was in style a few years ago, and bring them back. it's retro.

well, im sort of going through the same thing. your personality is probably changing with age, but it is a possibility that you were going through a rap-phase and now you're going through a rock-phase. who knows, maybe you'll switch to something else im a little while?

i straighten and blowdry my hair everyday and it gets kinda poofy and has split ends.. so what can i do to get healthy hair again?

garnier fructis haa a smoothing milk, which i use. it's used for frizz control. it works really good, i use it every morning. you can find it at pretty much any drug store or even wal-mart.

this always works for me: drink something warm [like hot chocolate or hot coffee] before. it kind of softens up your throat. and be sure to warm up before your audition.

so okay, i cut. and well i dont see anything wrong with that. i mean its not like its that serious. its just like getting a tattoo. or getting a peircing so why is it so "bad". people always say dont do it blah blah blah. its not hurting them so why should they care? i just dont get why its like considered so "bad" doing drugs and drinking is a wholee lot worse. so does anyone know why people think its so bad? any other opinions?

well, it's not the cutting that's bad. it's the fact that you're trying to hurt yourself for whatever reason. people who care about you don't like that you do that because they don't want you getting hurt [by yourself or anyone else].

im not saying there's nothing wrong with doing drugs and drinking, but cutting is a bit worse in the sense that you're apparently trying to punish yourself, for whatever reason.

and by the way, a girl i know's boyfriend died from cutting too deep. i just want you to know that.

well, with a Sprint and a Verizon, you can do that. [hit record, then save, then menu, then Apply As Ringtone]. But with a Motorola [that's what I have], you need to send it in a message, then press menu, store files, then re-store the sound, then in your Sounds folder, hover over the file, hit menu, then Apply As Ringtone].

It all depends on what kind of phone you have.

I am 13/f and just took a course on babysitting so i am an official babysitter. but how do i get started without posting my name in a public place. my mom doesnt know anyone i could watch and all of my neighbors are senior citizens. any advice?

well, you can put up some flyers or put an ad in the newspaper. maybe tell your friends' moms that you're available to babysit, too. that way, if your friends have any younger siblings, you can help babysit them.
