This is fine as it is about a year and a half different. If this person was 20 something or older and you were 16 then it's a legal issue and they can be charged for being with a minor. You are fine for now though as nobody I would think would bother to charge anyone for being a year older than someone they were dating even if they are 18 and you're 16. Have fun and do not worry about it. ]
no there's nothing wrong with that. my boyfriend is only one year older than me, but i know a lot of people who date people a couple years older. i mean look at a lot of today's married couples, and you'll find that they are 1 to many years apart. so as long as your not just in it because the other person seems young and gullable and you can get them in bed whenever you want..then no i dont see anything wrong with you dating this person

That is definitely not a bad thing! Some people just like to tease people for the fun of it cos they havn't got anything better to do, ignore them and they'll go away. Also, I know tons of people that date younger guys, it's not a problem!
Hope I helped,

first off. when is the person turning 16 because when they turn 16 they are allowed to consent to sexual contact. which means that there is no 'jail bait' involved because it is not against the law then. other than that there is usually no problem unless the person you are dating parents don't like you then that could cause a problem. but ually no one really pays attention to that. ]
it is jail bait..most dont care unless you have sex. however..there is risk so be very careful. ]
Well, 18 is over the age of consent, which 15 (in most states) is not. So technically, if you have sex you could get arrested for statutory rape (although unless the person or their parents press charges against you, there's no reason for that to happen). Hence the term jailbait. As far as a (non-sexual) relationship goes, I personally don't think there's anything wrong with it. It's one of those things where opinions differ, and if it were an age gap like 16 and 23, for instance, I'd be more hesitant. But 2-3 years doesn't make that much difference, IMO--although any age difference can be a large one during the teenage years, when everyone is growing up and changing on a daily basis. ]
yes that is jail bait but , no one really cares about it lol it's more like if a person over 18 rapes someone underage or do somthing to that underage person not too much into dating only in case you give alcohol to that underage or something serious

Once you turn 18, the term "jail bait" will be appropriate.
When you're younger, each year in age really makes a difference. The older you get, the less it matters. ]
