how do i start?
i know how to babysit but i don't kbow how to tell people about my interset and that if they need a babysitter im available...help

You could...
~ Post adds around the neighborhood
~ Go to like a Block Party & see if anyone needs a babysitter in your neighborhood.
~ Make an Add in the newspaper
~ Ask your parents to talk to other parents and bring up the topic of babysitting & reccomend you. Word gets around because those people will tell people who will tell more people...(you get the picture!)
~ Babysit for relatives &/or your parents.

start by making up little cards with your name, age, phone number ect. and put them in your neighbors mailboxes. or you can place a little small add in your local paper. you'll get alot of calls this way because parents would rather have people come to their house after school than send their kid out to a daycare. so this way you'll get maybe a good paying after school babysitting job.

I started by sending out flyers and wait for people to call. I had to get a certifacate from a hospital. they usally have babysitting beginners. If not tell the parent that you are responsible. getting good grades also helps

Put a index card on your head that says, "I'm available to babysit." And walk around in circles yelling it out.

Ask your parents if they have any friends or people that they know with younger kids. If they dont you can put posters or adds up at your parents work or tell your friends that if they are unavailble to baby sitt for the people they baby sitt to recommend you!

Make flyers. Make sure you include your name, phone number, email address, and your address, and your rate (the amount of money you charge per hour) ....make sure you ONLY put it in peoples mailboxes that YOU KNOW!!! that way no weirdos get ahold of all of your info and start harassing you!

you could make flyers and put them around your area, or maybe try and tell your parents and have them tell their friends so if their friends need a babysitter you could do it. my parents always tell their friends about me if i wanna babysit or not. so maybe it could work for you.
lol . there are classes you can take to get certified. im not a "certified babysitter" and i still babysit. but some people want you to have a lisence. but no u cant get arrestedd for not being a certified babysitter. but it is good to go to one of the classes to get certified. :]
