Ive been told that you can still be preg. even if you get your period.. Im kinda scared because ive been feelin sick for a week now and i get dizzy and the only think i can think of is that i may be prego because on the 1st i had unprotected sex. but i got my period so is it possible to get your period n still be pregnant
Melody answered Tuesday August 1 2006, 2:25 pm: It is possible, yes. But I highly doubt that you are. It's very unlikely and it only happens in certain people. I'm sure you are ok for now, but when it's time for your next period to come around and you happen to not start, try taking a pregnancy test - just to be sure. cecaaa answered Friday July 28 2006, 12:21 am: Most of the people who wrote before this are wrong.
No, it isnt tenchnically possible to get your period if you're pregnant, but it IS possible to bleed a little bit, the bleeding just isn't your period.
Not to gross you out, but just think about what the blood looked like. Was it like your normal flow and just as heavy as it usually is?
Or was it just a spot or two?
If it was just a little bit of blood this is called "spotting" and can happen even when you're pregnant.
But if it was your normal flow and lasted about a week like normal, you're definitely not pregnant.
I would suggest taking a pregnancy test just to be sure though. [ cecaaa's advice column | Ask cecaaa A Question ]
Christeena answered Thursday July 27 2006, 11:51 pm: You're most likely not pregnant. But think about how your period was...was it different in length of time it lasted or flow? Because if it was, I'd take a pregnancy test just to be sure. Peace of mind is all you need. [ Christeena's advice column | Ask Christeena A Question ]
clarayow answered Thursday July 27 2006, 11:36 pm: Edit: It is impossible for you to have your period if and when you're pregnant.
I've read up bout the symptoms of pregnancy and no, you are unable to have periods during pregnancy because your body's lining up your womb for the growth and nutrition of the baby.
Some pregnant women experience bleeding during the first few months of their pregnancy but this blood isn't period. This bleeding could be miscarriage, rupturing of certain blood vessels, etc. It is however, difficult to differentiate menstrual bleeding from any other type of bleeding.
Get loads of pregnancy test kits and have many of these tests to confirm whether you're pregnant or not. No point asking the people here because I doubt most of us who answered you has a medical cert or has sufficient medical knowledge. Don't go searching the internet for it cos it throws up many contradictory answers. To be extremely certain if you're pregnant, see a doctor. [ clarayow's advice column | Ask clarayow A Question ]
