Okay so Idk what is wrong with me. Like Im convinced bad things are going to happen to me.
like when I'm 16 I cant get my license but i think to the future and picture myself getting into a car accident and like i actualy believe that this is going to happen to me.
And i read a story in seventeen magazine about a women getting murdered in her house and i think to myself oh that will prob. happen to me. like im convinced that something bad is going to happen. Like every bad situation I hear I make myself think its going to happen. Idk why but I dont think its healthy, and i freak myself out. Like I seriously think im going to prob. die in a car accident when i can drive.
please help!

I would say you're pretty anxious though. I would recommend that you speak to someone about this (a parent or doctor) who might be able to give you some more advice. Also, some relaxation exercises may help (i found some here [Link](Mouse over link to see full location), you can probably find more on google).
Lastly,

You can change your thought pattern by changing the atmosphere , you can start by surrounding yourself with things that make you happy not things that cause you to be fearful .
Yes we're all gonna leave here one day but I encourage you as a Minister to know that Life & Death is in God's hand, he knows the hour and time and my final advice to you is to think on things that are lovely and are of good report .

chakra answered Wednesday July 26 2006, 10:21 am: You have something called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), i have this too, it's where you have very disturbing thoughts and conviced bad things are going to happen.
You should go to your doctor about this, he'll most likely refer you to a therapist, one who deals with children, this can be treated, but if left untreaed then it can spiral out of control and just keeps getting worse.
It's a very common disorder, it can come in different ways such as constantly washing your hands, or having to repeat a certain phrase or action, fearing your going to hurt someone, or like your experiencing, images of bad things happening to you.
It is very treatable though and with the right help you can over come this.
I left mine a long time before i got any help which is why it developped into different kinds of OCD and progressing worse, but it is getting easier now, and yours will too aslong as you get the right help, so see your doctor and you'll be on the right track :-)
You dont have to go with your parents if you dont feel comfortable, you can take a friend or go on your own.
holahayley56 answered Tuesday July 25 2006, 10:54 pm: Thats like a disorder. I forget the name. I do that too, only its when people get sick or something, I'll be like omg, i probaly have that! or whatever, I forget the name. So, I can't help you too much. I've been growing out of it though. Just tell yourself, that theres like a 1 in a million chance, that will happen to you. & tell your mom & stuff.
BekahLynn answered Tuesday July 25 2006, 10:49 pm: Eleanore Roosevelt said: "You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do." I used to be really scared, of everything, afraid of making friends out of fear of rejection, driving out of fear of crashing a car and so on. Soon I found myself alone because I was so scared. But there is so much more to life, and I've experinced it. I got in a very serious car crash the day after graduation, people still can't figure out how I survived. But the important thing is I did. I agree that it is not healthy to live in fear, but it is healthy to keep some fear, but just enough to be cautious. Something to think about when you start to freak out is what you are missing by staying at home. You have to remember when you read stories like the one in seventeen magazine is that, that experince belongs to somebody else, not you. You don't have to be scared of death. Just remember there is so much more of life to experince, don't let it slip by. Good luck, and go have an adventure. [ BekahLynn's advice column | Ask BekahLynn A Question ]
dollface answered Tuesday July 25 2006, 10:47 pm: Hmm. Well firstly, I think it's a good thing that you recognize you're doing it and that it's not healthy. I would try to possibly catch yourself doing it and maybe you should analyze how possible the event youre scared of actually is. There is nothing to prevent the fact that any one of us could die tomorrow, but I understand why you're scared. Everyone is afraid of death, so don't feel like you're the only one. It's good to be cautious but if you're paranoid all the time you'll go out living your life in a way that you probably wouldn't prefer to live. If the problem persists in great quantities I would suggest you tell a doctor because you might have a case of Paranoia. [ dollface's advice column | Ask dollface A Question ]
Nallie answered Tuesday July 25 2006, 10:43 pm: You are right, it's not healthy to live in fear. The media is full of doom and gloom, for some reason people want to hear about the bad things that happen in this world, and not the good things. This does tend to brainwash us into thinking that evil is lurking around every corner. In addition you are now maturing and realizing that as humans we are not going to live forever.
If you feel as if you are in a panic over these thoughts or if they prevent you from doing things you should normally enjoy, you should see a Dr. or a counselor for a treatment plan.
In reality, these thoughts or scenerios that are playing in your head may not be all bad. This shows that you have forward thinking, something that a lot of teens don't have or don't use. Try to make something good come out of your fears. For instance, take drivers ed, always obey the laws of the road and wear your seatbelt. This will greatly reduce your chances of a serious accident. If you are still thinking about the murder, keep a cell phone by your bed and put an alarm on your door. Odds are for you, not against you. While so many people do get injured or murdered...the majority don't. If we spend our days thinking about when and how we will die, we will never live!
