Blood

Question Posted Saturday July 22 2006, 3:28 pm

19/f
I lost my virginity to my boyfriend a few days ago in the shower. I happened to notice some blood trickling down the drain. It wasn't a lot, but it was enough to concern me. Is that normal? Please tell me!

yes its normal, its because he popped you hymen or in other words popped your cherry, your hymen is a tissue that prevents you from getting pregnant so its normal for you to bleed a lil after its been popped

There is nothing to be concerned with. Bleeding is normal in sexual intercourse for many reasons. Most likely being he ripped your hymen [aka, popped your cherry]

If your hymen is no longer in tact for some other reasons [fingering, stretching of skin, masturbating, ect] then you may have just been to rough for the first time. He could have just ripped your skin.

But no worries, vaginal bleeding during intercourse is normal.

it sounds to me like you broke your hymen or another name for it is that you "popped your cherry" it happens everytime its your first time having sex,but you can also break your hymen by inserting a tampon, horseback riding, when you masterbate putting something huge up your vagina, etc not just when its your first time having sex.You shouldnt bleed too much and it should stop just put a pad in your underwear if its getting all over your underwear and you should be fine, but if it dosent stop for about a week i would suggest going to a doctor,if you need anymore help or have any questions just leave one in my inbox ;]

Ya thats normal. Some people tend to bleed the first time they loose there virginity because your hymen breaks. In other cases it could break too. Some dont bleed at all there first time some people do.

Hi..

This is completely normal! It just means that you broke your hymen. Usually when you have sex, your hymen breaks (unless you broke it by doing sports or tampons) and for some girls a little blood comes out, and for some more blood comes out. So yeah, nothing to worry about.

Yea that's normal, if you've ever heard the phrase, "Pop your cherry," then that's what probably happened. When your cherry, or hymen pops, it's completely normal. Once it pops, it's not there anymore. The next day you might even see some blood when you go to the bathroom, but it's probably because the night you had sex, some was still left behind. Hope I helped :)
