Ohk i know you can get Aids Or Hiv from someone if you have sex with someone that has it. I was told by many people that even if you use a condom you can also get it. Is it true.?
Only asking because i was watching tv today and on one of the Trojan Condom commercials. Its says to be sure not to get Aids Or HIv. Always use a condom.
Adviceteen08 answered Thursday July 27 2006, 12:56 am: using a condom lowers the chances of develpoing dieases but if your not careful and if you dont check the condom first you may have tears or develope tears in the latex during sex which could cause you to transfer fluids and exchange stds but you have a lower chance of getting a disease using condoms [ Adviceteen08's advice column | Ask Adviceteen08 A Question ]
caramella answered Sunday July 9 2006, 1:45 pm: not just by having it with a person that has aids can lead you to this diseas but you can have it yourself and not even know.if you do it with a lot of guys youll get it and spread it without even knowing it and sometimes condoms can be weak and rip or tear a small hole in it so its useless [ caramella's advice column | Ask caramella A Question ]
Melody answered Saturday July 8 2006, 1:02 pm: Yes. Even if you use a condom you can still get HIV & AIDS. Though it is unlikely, it can happen. Condoms are used just as much for aids as they are used for pregnancy. It's very effective for both, but not 100% for either. [ Melody's advice column | Ask Melody A Question ]
BLONDShorty answered Saturday July 8 2006, 12:27 pm: well, the thing is that condoms are only 80 something percent effective. because if the condomn breaks, you could get pregnant or an STD. There is no birth control that is 100% effective [ BLONDShorty's advice column | Ask BLONDShorty A Question ]
Elcee answered Saturday July 8 2006, 8:48 am: If the condom split then the chances are higher for contracting Aids or HIV. Practising safe sex is always a priority today because of the diseases but no-one can predict exactly whether or not a condom fails.
Using two forms of prevention ie: the pill and a condom will protect against pregnancy in practically all cases but nothing is completely guaranteed.
The most sensible thing is to remain abstinent until you have found someone that you know you will want to have a long-term relationship with, then before going ahead with a sex life, get the guy to have an Aids test if you have any doubts whatsoever about him.
