Deep thinker

Question Posted Friday June 30 2006, 12:16 pm

ok so here's my problem, I can't stop thinking about like death and when the world is going to end. Like, I always thinnk about what happens when you die..I mean like, do you become a ghost and stay a ghost forever and ever and ever, is your spirit just gone and like what happens? your just gone away and never return?!! and like the world ending. because like of the tsunami and then 9/11 and hurricane katrina. All those things were in the bible, and they happened!!I HATE IT! I always get scared when I think about it but I can't stop! Please someone tell me how to stop thinking like this!! Is it normal? Does it mean I'm crazy?! I want to stop!!

I know exactly what your going through!! I think about it often too. Talking about it with a friend DEFENINTLY helps. At a sleepover once we just talked about how like its weird that space never ends and how we wonder how the world will end and like how no one knows for sure what happens after death. It really helps talking with friends..cause then you have a good time. Just know that it doesn't matter how short or how long life is just be glad that your living it and always make sure your doing what you want to do in life. Hope this helps! Let me know! : )

There have been natural disasters since the beginning of time. 9/11 wasn't a natural disaster of course, but the other two were. B/c hurricanes, earthquakes, and tsunamis from earthquakes have all happened since way before the dinosaurs and will continue to happen long after humans, I'm not worried. 9/11 was a terroist act that caught us by suprise and won't happen again. Hurricane Katrina didn't damage New Orleans, the levees breaking and letting the lake into the city damaged New Orleans. They were poorly built and not meant for a storm like that, although we were told they were. I live in Louisiana, so that's all we heard about. I dunno what happens when you die, I've never been dead. But I'm optomistic.

I do it all the time. I get scared knowing alot of things are really starting to happen to the world and that the end is near. But according to the bible Jesus will come back anytime, in one minute, an hour later, or tomorrow we don`t know. If you are religious and believe in God and Jesus your soul will go to heaven, it will live forever in God`s grace. Never fear death because it won`t hurt you, your soul will live on forever. Your not crazy, don`t think about it. Just live life to the fullest. ♥

firstly, when you die, you don't become a ghost for ever. you are judged by your God on the right and wrong doings in your life. if the good out weigh the bad, you go to heaven and vice versa.
so if you want to stop stressing about this meditate or some thing. do more good than bad and pray for forgiveness for any bad you do. then you'll know your safe for when you die.
remember:YOU MUST HAVE INNER-PEACE!

When you feel yourself thinking about it just try and think about other things, like your friends and family and hobbies. Also, if you don't stop thinking about death, how are you going to live your life? And, are those things really in the bible?! weird...

You must discipline your mind.

Clear your thoughts when you lose control. Focus on an object in the room, or your breathing, or count sheep.

It will probably take practice, but I think it will give you a healthy peace of mind.

Once you discipline yourself, I think you'll find that there is no point in worrying about such events; they're outside of your control. In fact, most of human drama is the same way.

Good luck-

Of course you're not crazy! I think about that stuff all the time and it scares me also. You mentioned the Bible so I'm guessing you do believe in God.

Well, when I start thinking about things like that, I just start thinking about God and heaven. Many people are afraid to die and afraid of the world "ending" mostly because they don't know what'll happen to them afterwards, like you said.

But the thing is, you'll finally be with God and in heaven which will be so many times better than being on Earth. You're spirit still lives, just not in your original body. You'll be in a better place.
