its average..

a whole mile is averaged about 8 to 9 minutes for elementary students. ( like 4 and 5 grade) well in my old elementary school.. but none the less that is really good timing

i would say that is between regular in slow... it depends.. if yuo don't run often and you don't do track or anything then that is just a find pace but if you run often or do track its kind of slow because most track guys i know run the mile in about that time

id say normal. i was on cross country for 3 years, and it would take me about 7 or 8 minutes to complete a mile. you figure double your half a mile and its about 7 or 8 minutes. its average.

Here's something that you might find useful since I've noticed this question has been asked a couple times... The world record for a 1 mile run is: 3:43.13 Your height, weight and age have alot to do with answering your question as far as how fast or not fast your going but to me it sounds pretty average.

i'd say it's on the regular-to-slow side. most people run 8 or 9 minute miles, so you're a little under them. keep practicing :)

Slow. Would have helped to have some stats... are u male or female... how old are you?

However, by almost all measurements its a slow time. Keep it up though, practice makes perfect.

It depends on the person. It could be fast for you, but slow for someone else. But it's basically regular. I know people who sprint half a mile in 2 minutes, and others who do it in 8 minutes. It really depends on you, ya know?

I think its somewhat in between..
because it difffers from people,
people who are in shape, and people who arent.
I'm not saying your not in shape, but usually the people who arent go slower..

In my half mile, most of the girls ran it in 2-3 minutes.. But dont worry, its pretty good.
