what to tell mom
okay.
im 13.
i just got my frist period this morning.
i dont wanna tell my mom! should i keep it low for a while? or no..?
i took some of my sis's pads.

omg i did the same thing whatever you do beleive me shell find out its really no big deal when you run out of pads you should tell her cause you wont want blood on your undies okay this might sound gross and werid for me to tell you this but if any gets on your undies rinse them in cold water before you wash them cause them no stains will be left

I had the same problem. This is gonna sound really dumb, but heres what I did. I took my one of my sisters pads, left it in the wrapper, and wrote on it, "mom, guess what?" then sign your name. That way you don't have to actually tell her. Or just casually say the next time you and her go shopping, "mom, i need some pads" She will most likely not make a big deal about it. So, Good Luck! Its really a hard thing to talk about, I know how you feel.

You need to tell her. Other wise she might get worried that there is somthing wrong and thats why you havent started after the first one you dont have to tell her if you ron it or not but its a fact of life. But also after the weekn or how ever long you go your sister will know. Plus after a while of going if you have any male animals this may sound gross but most of the time they will sniff downn there from the smell and if someone were to get real close they might be able to smell it

you need to tell her. if i were you i would walk up to her really casually and say "mom, guess what?" and let her say "what?" and then answer by saying, "this morning i got my period." she probably won't make a huge deal about it. it's only best to tell her. that's your best bet. you're going to have to eventually tell her anyway, so just get it over with now, right? it's not like it's some disease. every female that has ever lived on this earth, does live on this earth, and will live on this earth, will eventually recieve their period. all girls go through it, so don't feel like you're alone. trust me it might seem scary, but as soon as you let it off your chest you'll be glad you got it done and over with. you're not by yourself out there. i've gone through it too.

The subject of your period can get pretty over the top in some families, they can celebrate it like holidays. If thats the case in your family just tell your mother privatly and tell her its no big deal and not to make it one.

Yeaa just tell. Dont be like embaressed or anything just be like mom, i got my period. She will probably just be like okay and wanna have alittle talk or somthing. No biggie.

GO FOR IT AND TELL HER ! deffinitally, what do you have to loose telling her? and wouldnt she be like devistated if she found out a year from now or so that you didnt tell her? i knwo my mom would be! your mom can help you and help you buy things and such. its not really THAT big of a deal, i mean every girl goes through it. just be casual and be like mom i started my period this morning. i doubt she will make a big deal ab out it. so i say go for it and tell her. :]

There is absolutely no reason to keep it from your mother. Remember, she's a woman too. She had been through the SAME thing when she was your age. If you really think about it, it's stupid to keep it from your mom. I mean, who would know better about getting a period than a woman who has had it for most of her life?
All you need to tell her is "Hey mom... I've got some news. I got my first period today."
She'll do either one of 3 things:
Scream and freak out saying MY LITTLE GIRL IS A WOMAN NOW!
Say, oh congradulations honey and not make a big deal about it.
Or give you a dollar and say cool (Like my mom).
No need to be nervous about telling your mom. She can also give you advice on how to keep yourself clean down there while getting your period. Not anything to worry about =) Best of luck to you.

i don't think you should tell your mom until your ready. but i think you should tell your sister if she can keep secrets and that wat when you need pads your tampons whatever you choose you can have her ask your mom and pretend the she is the one that needs them. well GOODLUCK !!

Just tell your mom. All you have to say is, "Hi Mom. I got my period." and she'll say, "Okay. Do you need my help with anything?" It's not embarassing. She's been through it too, remember. If you want, you can ask your sister how she broke the news. But she'll probably say the same thing, that it's really no big deal.

Why dont you tell your mom, it's not embarassing or anything. You should just tell her...it's not like shes going to get mad. She'll actually give you some tips or just talk to you about "becoming a woman". No big deal. =)
