ok.. so i know this isnt good. but the other day i had a really low self-esteme and i took painkillers.. how many would like really harm me because im worried..
You can call a poison control center or a pharmacist and ask what type of harm can come to you because of the pills that you took.
However the bottom line is....what prompted you to do such a thing? I know you said you are suffering from low self esteem, but why? I would suggest visiting with a trusted adult and asking for help. You must get to the bottom of your problem because even if the pain killers did not hurt you, your cause for concern is not over. [ Nallie's advice column | Ask Nallie A Question ]
VainTaraLynn answered Friday February 24 2006, 9:32 pm: It all depends on the miligrams that are in the pills & what kind they are. What you can do though is go to www.google.com and look up the name of the medicine and look up lethal dosage of it and some results should come up of how many is a letal ammount. Usuaally lethal is in the 3000 range. [ VainTaraLynn's advice column | Ask VainTaraLynn A Question ]
sizzlinmandolin answered Thursday February 23 2006, 6:44 pm: Well, since it was the other day and nothing has happened yet, you're probably fine. My guess would be that more than 6 will give you problems. You should have told someone about what you did. It's really dangerous and what if something had happened to you? You could have gone unconscious, stopped breating, had a heart attack, all kinds of life threatening stuff. Taking pain killers is not the way to go at all, but I'm sure you know that and everything. Just don't do it again. Find a different way to deal with what you're going through. Exercise is actually a proven way to reduce stress. When you exercise certain chemicals are realeased that help you relax. Whenever I get upset I go for a jog. It helps a lot. I hope you feel better about yourself really soon and good luck! DancinCutie08 answered Thursday February 23 2006, 3:04 pm: do you mean kill yourself or just not be good for you? taking any without pain or even with pain can be harmful to you no matter what
sillyrob answered Wednesday February 22 2006, 1:28 am: It depends. I'm not going to tell you that you should take a ton, but people taking 13+ psomas at my school was a regular thing. I would not advise to take a lot (or any at all for that matter, there are better ways to resolve depression), so please do something else. [ sillyrob's advice column | Ask sillyrob A Question ]

HOPLESSxROMNTC answered Tuesday February 21 2006, 11:00 pm: Any more then two can hurt you. If you took them the other day and you fine right now then your lucky and nothing happened but next time limit yourself to only 1 or two at the most. Hope I helped!

Advisor answered Tuesday February 21 2006, 10:51 pm: You need to not take painkillers just one can have a bad affect on you, if your okay now you lucky. If you take painkillers and you are taking any other type of medication it could harm you. Dont take painkillers anymore its simple as that, its not worth the risk.
