A professional is best, but my friend pierced his girlfriends bellybutton with a needle, you just need to burn it over a flame firt to keep from getting infected.

it'd be safer if you had a professional do it. surprisingly, there has been some experienced body piercers that do make mistakes and result in infection. and they also have complicated procedures that have to go through such as how long youre supposed to keep the ring in, or how many times youre supposed to clean the ring daily, when you can actually take the ring out, and all of that.

Well you could, but unless you have some sort of training in piercing you'll probably fuck it up. Just have it done professionally.

i wouldn't reccomend doing it yourself. you could get it infected and that wouldn't be good at all. it is maybe $20.00 to $25.00 so don't chance it just call around and find a place that dosnn't cost outragout prices but is clean and knows what they are doing that it the most important! just be careful whatever you decide to do!

i did myne. it's probably not a good suggestion unless you have high pain tolerance, but i just held my breath and stuck a large safety pin through. it sounds gross, but its really not as long as you clean off the pin with alcohol, and clean the piercing right after you put the ring in. just make sure you get a big enough chunk of skin, and make sure you do it QUICK! hope i helped. spitfire9631@yahoo.com

there is always the risk of an invection, even when done by a professional. The key is keeping it clean at all times until the initial puncture is healed up. Using dial soap with a q-tip can help keep it clean and it's mild enough for use on piercings. if you are looking to do it yourself, make sure the needle is brand new, dont just pick one out of your mothers sewing kit, it can have bacteria on it, which will increase the chance of infection. goood luck!

Just make sure you use sterile 'equipment' and apply antibiotics for at least a few or more days afterwards just in case, then it won't get infected.
