ok dont worry - i know many people that bite there nails and i used to be one of those people! i tried everything. you have to set your mindto it; give yourself a goal. if i dont bite my nails, then they'll be long enough for me to go and get them professionaly done with my friends. you can also put stuff on them thatmakes it taste bad so you wont bite them. or paint them with nail polish ...

Unless you want to go the hypnosis route, which some people swear by, you do have a couple options other than sheer willpower. One is to apply the very disgusting (and therefore, highly successful) ‘Don’t Bite’ product, which you paint onto your nails. It takes so bitter you won’t dare bite them. A new product on the market which doesn't taste any better, but is definitely worth trying is Jessica 'Nibble No More,' a no-nail-biting polish who's secret ingredient is bitter cactus extract ($5 at jessicacosmetics.com).

Another option is to keep your nails painted and the brighter the color the better. An added bonus: Get a professional manicure. If you pay for one, chances are dyou’ll be less likely to destroy it with your teeth.

Hope I Helped! =)

I know that you could buy this spicy nasty nail polish but i don't know where to get it. Just do something else instead. if you feel like your gonna start biting them, them go do something else. Tell people to say stop to you when they see you biting.
I've tried these things except the polish and they've started working cuz i bite mine to.
hope it helps

Hi.... my daughter Reba use to bite her fingernails and what helped her break herself of the habit was this. I found a product in a local healthfood store... can't remember the name now as it's been over 30 years ago and I'm sure there are several products out there by now.... but it was like a fingernail polish she would apply that tasted really horrible, so she soon didn't put her fingertips or fingernails in or near her mouth any longer. I'm sure you can find such a product locally.... if you ask around and I know it worked for Reba really well and once in awhile she still talks about it! And now she has really nice nails and works as a parlegal and manages a legal office in Portland Oregon! Good luck!

I have a puppy and to get him to stop chewing shoes, we sprayed out shoes with this product called Foohey. Supposively it was supposed to stop our dog from eating out shoes, but it had a MAJOR effect on us too! My hands tasted discusting and i no longer wanted to put them in my mouth. I suggest you go to a pet store and get this stuff cuz it REALLY works on humans. It doesn't smell like anything so you can spray your fingers with it.

Good luck breaking your nasty habbit!!

biting your nails is always annoying to others around you, but painting your nails might help because then you will taste the lacquer and it will taste so gross, or maybe putting bandaids on your fingernails because then you would taste rubber and would stop being so tempted .

xoo hope this helps !! ♥

Drugstores sell special creams and nail polishes that you can put on your nails; they taste horrible, which helps you to stop biting them.

Personally, I stopped biting my nails when I realized that it was damaging my teeth.
