Sleep

Question Posted Thursday January 26 2006, 12:27 pm

I usually sleep really well, but last night I didn't fall asleep until 2 o clock in the morning. I don't know why. I think it might've been because I was talking to this one guy and I really didn't want ot sign off and go to bed but I had too. So i was thinking about him and stuff and I couldn't sleep.
Does anyone have anything that might help me sleep?

Nooo, dont use sleeping pills yet! Try (i know this sounds a bit silly) but hot chocolate, erm, close your eyes and mke up a dream in your head then you gradually fall asleep, but yer, agreeing with a a person before sounds like you like this guy a lot :)

Ha welcome to my life. Try to do something really mind numbing before bed to slow down your mind- a repetative solitaire card game for example or have a hot bath.

As far as the fascinating guy goes, sadly loss of sleep go with the territory. If I'm not up having random conversations with one of my friends im worrying about them or unable to sleep for laughing/replaying memories.

Enjoy it, i'm willing to bet that by the time we get old and boring there'll be very few people who interest us in the same way!

Something I've found to work when I can't sleep because I'm thinking too much is writing it down. It helps me to get the thoughts out of my head. You can also try a relaxing bath or a cup of warm milk. I wouldn't suggest trying a sleeping pill unless your doctor recommends it.

do you like him? i know that when i talk to the guy i like i dont want it to end. and i end up going to bed way later than i could stand. maybe you should start talking to him earlier and that way you can talk to him longer and go to bed earlier. otherwise take so sleeping pills. not alot though, be careful too. my friend had a bad reaction with them. like she would try to open her eyes and she seriously like couldnt in the middle of the night when she wanted to go get a drink or something and she like, couldnt get up. so be careful if your going to use and kind of drug to fall asleep

This happens sometimes when you have alot on your mind good or bad.. But this doesn`t mean its going to happen all the time.. Don`t take a nap so tonight you`ll most likey sleep like a baby.. =) ♥Dez

It happens to alot of people where they sleep well each night but sometimes they just get those nights where they have TOO MUCH things going through their mind.
I have been having a hard time sleeping for the past few nights due to so much thinking.
What I do that helps me is talk on the phone with one of my very close friends.
She goes through all the things that are bothering me. It really helps me to get everything out.
Another thing that you can do is listen to one of my favorite songs "Everything Burns" By Ben Moody ft. Anastacia.
If you do decide to listen to that song then while listening to it close your eyes and get a mental image of the song. like where it takes place and just relax.
You can also try to listen to any song of your choice.

I hope one of these things help you out.

♥

If you sleep well normally it's no big deal to miss some sleep one night, right?
Though to answer your question, things that might help you sleep. Drink something warm and sweet. Hot choco, warm milk with a spoon of honey or syrup, or some tea. Sometimes, if you're thinking too much to sleep, try listening to some soft music (I don't know what music you like, but the Chieftains or something celtic usually does the trick for me) when you're lying in your bed. Just let the music play wile you fall asleep.
