Question Posted Saturday December 31 2005, 2:29 pm
The other day I fried my hair. I was in a hurry so while my hair was still slightly damp I straightened it. Now it feels like straw, its breaking off very easily, and I cannot style it. I've used several products and conditioned it several times but it will not go back to being soft and healthy. Is there anything I can do?

Pure Silk Protein was originally developed as an additive to further the penetration of hair colour into the hair. The result is a protein enriched conditioner that actually reduces colour fading. Pure Silk Protein delivers the healthiest and softest hair possible.
Directions Distribute treatment liberally on clean, wet hair and allow to penetrate for 10 minutes or longer, then rinse out (no heat required).
Ingredients DI Water, Isopropyl Myristate, Cetrimonium Chloride, Silk Amino Acid, Mineral Oil, Ceteareth 20, Cetearyl Alcohol, Panthenol, DMDM Hydantoin, Fragrance, Lecithin, Citric Acid, Polyacrylamide.

Gossip_Girl answered Monday January 2 2006, 2:01 pm: Ok well that happened to me more than once. Maybe you have already tried this but last time it happened to me I bought a system it is the silky, sexy, hair system and the shampoo and the conditioner really really work. And try not to but products in it because that makes it even worse.

oneandonly345 answered Saturday December 31 2005, 7:29 pm: i would go to the nearest beauty store, like a sally's.
and tell them what happened.
they will probably give you a deep conditioning treatment.
something else that you should use during the winter is pantene pro-v deep fortifying treatment.
you wash your hair, then put that in for 3 min, and then wash it out.
it works SO well.

Erinn_the_bamf answered Saturday December 31 2005, 4:43 pm: You need an oil treatment. There are do-it-yourself oil treatments but unless you've done it before I wouldn't recommend it. Go to a salon to get it done. While you are there ask if there are any products to prevent this from happening again. [ Erinn_the_bamf's advice column | Ask Erinn_the_bamf A Question ]
sexybandgeek answered Saturday December 31 2005, 4:16 pm: Its not good to straighten your hair wet unless you have a wet to straight straightener that allows the steam to get out and doesnt dry out your hair. If you need the time i suggest you get one of those. Right now I think you should probably go to a salon and ask them to trim off damaged ends and condition it. I hope you can get your hair back to normal! [ sexybandgeek's advice column | Ask sexybandgeek A Question ]
t0xicParadiSe answered Saturday December 31 2005, 3:53 pm: What you need to do is go to a hair salon and get an oil treatment for your hair.
That will help it get back to being soft and healthy.
nikkigoesrawr answered Saturday December 31 2005, 3:49 pm: First go and ask your hair stylest what to do about it
Then get one of those protecting hair sprays that protect your hair from heat
You should also get a blow dryer so you can dry your hair out before you straighten it
So this problem wont happen again
Hope I helped
Teza answered Saturday December 31 2005, 3:46 pm: Yes. Get it cut. That's the only way that you can get rid of the damaged parts. After you get it cut, buy this spray called Ion and you spray it to protect your hair from heat. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
