thislove912 answered Friday December 23 2005, 12:14 am: When I first got my period (I was 12), I hated wearing pads. But they really aren't that bad. They're easy to use, and once you wear one for awhile you get used to it. I haven't tried tampons yet, I've only had my period for 6 months or so, but I don't think I will anytime soon. muffinbutt answered Wednesday December 21 2005, 3:17 pm: You get used to wearing them -- it's like a pair of new shoes, you just need to break them in. And they don't itch as much when you're actually on your period, because the blood acts as lubrication. [ muffinbutt's advice column | Ask muffinbutt A Question ]

x_mystery answered Tuesday December 20 2005, 1:54 pm: I get "Always" brand, and you can barely feel that its there. I can't usually use tampons because I get really bad cramps on my period, but I will say that if you are able to use them, tampons are the way to go. You can't feel them at all, and you can go swimming and its easier to be active. So maybe try that when the time comes. [ x_mystery's advice column | Ask x_mystery A Question ]
FunnyCide answered Tuesday December 20 2005, 11:43 am: Yeah, that's how I think it feels when wearing a pad.. like wearing a diaper! I hate it! Try tampons. You're still young, and you'll probably need the junior/slim tampons. Tampax makes them so small and light that you can't feel them, they don't hurt to put in or take out, and you have no discomfort because they're so small. I'd still wear a panty-liner "just in case," but tampons are way better.

orphans answered Monday December 19 2005, 11:44 pm: Well, it all depends upon which brand you use. Some brand are smaller than others. Plus, youwill get used to how they feel after a day or so. If you really dont like em you could maybe use tampons instead. I would advise talking to someone about it (risks and stuff) like yous mom or another older female. I used pads for my first year or so and it wasnt that bad. But once I switched to Tampons I cannot go back. Well, good luck hun!!! Hope I helped! [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
