Question Posted Thursday November 10 2005, 1:51 pm
I was just wondering if anyone has tried spray-on tanning. I do not want to harm my skin with regular tanning, but I don't want to look white as a ghost either. So, how do they do it? Does it look fake? Will it streak or wash off? Does anyone recommend it?
chambler06 answered Thursday November 10 2005, 5:00 pm: ok here is what i have to say, i went for a spray tan for my junior prom. everyone that went into an automatic sprayer looked orange. i went to one where a women sprays it herself so your not streaky or anything. It is recommended that you leave it on for 24 hours before washing it off so your skin soaks it all in. for that 24 hours you do get orange because your skin is soaking in the good color, but once you wash it off it looked good. so if you do get one make sure your not going into public for about 24 hours or until you shower, and dont wear tight clothes rigth after you get it done. if you want to see pictures i have pictures just ask me a question personally and i will show you.. i recommend a normal tanning bed because a spray tan only lasts about 3 showers... but if its for an event it wont be that bad... I use it and it really works. It gives you a naturaul looking tan and makes your skin glow, not an orangeish tan. Just apply it everyday and after about a week you'll have noticeabley tanner skin! Give it a try! [ loserfacex51091's advice column | Ask loserfacex51091 A Question ]

But remember to use the lotion that protects over hard hitting sun. Oh and theres this thing called "Carrot Oil Spray" its like a spray you put on and it makes your tanning process faster.
ThugGirl041790 answered Thursday November 10 2005, 2:39 pm: My friend has got it done and to me she looked orange.. it looked horrible.. but when my aunt got it done it looked nice and there wasn`t no streaks or spots.. but i think it depends on your skin tone already and where or how you get it done.. i`d get it done at a salon like you said.. ask them some questions then decide from there weather to get it done or not.. ♥ Dez [ ThugGirl041790's advice column | Ask ThugGirl041790 A Question ]

Teza answered Thursday November 10 2005, 2:03 pm: If you go to a mystic tan salon you will not look orange or fake. I've done it before and it works good. You won't be like soo dark the first time because you only do it for couple minutes, but if you go 2 or 3 you will have a really good natrual tan.
I hate going to tanning beds because you get all red so spray on's are the best. If you do it yourself you might get spots.
If you do go to a salon, you will have to sign up and do all that stuff. You'll go in for about a couple of minutues. It will take a while to dry but you won't get spots and you won't be white. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
