I'm pretty sure that's called a Monroe. I'm not totally sure, because I don't really keep up with these things...
I saw a girl and a guy who each had one (I guess they were dating, and thought they'd be cute and have matching facial piercings). On the guy, it looked wicked awesome. The girl just couldn't pull it off. It was not working for her.
I don't have an opinion one way or the other about them. I wouldn't get one, simply because... I don't think I could get away with that. I don't think I'd want to date someone who had one - I mean, that must be uncomfortable when kissing, right? But on some people, it looks great.

I think they look like moles, I don't like them. One of the members of the band Sugababes has one too and I was under the impression that it was a mole for a very long time. Not many people can carry it off. Get a stick on jewel or one of those jewel tattoos and take a jewel off and stick it where you want the piercing to be. See if it suits you and ask a couple of people :) You could even draw it on if you can't find a jewel.

The beauty mark-eaque piercing is indeed most often referred to as a Monroe, after Marilyn Monroe of course.
Anyway, I, particularly, don't care for that piercing, because it just looks like an oversized, and disgusting mole.

It is indeed a labret piercing. If you use Google and run a search for About.Com's Body Piercing Page you can see examples and learn about it incase you want one. My advice, don't I think it's not attractive.

Those piercings I don't think are that attractive on girls... or guys. It only looks good on SOME people. Some girls and some guys can get away with it.. Others just can't.
