carissaxo311 answered Monday October 24 2005, 10:17 pm: one small type of dog that very cute and good for families is a toy english spaniel.
-Grooming requirements are low, just brush regularly
-He's perfect for an apartment and a couch potato owner
-Calm and quiet
They are very cute and low maitnenace. =]
For a big dog theres no other dog i would suggest exvept for a golden retriever. They are absolutely GORGEOUS dogs. They are loyal and protective and beautiful.

Theyre easy to train, stay rather small, and theyre sweethearts. [ falliingxagain's advice column | Ask falliingxagain A Question ]
Juicygirl answered Saturday October 22 2005, 4:49 pm: What I had was a Cocker Spaniel ( a not so big dog ) and a Maltese. When getting a smaller dog, choose very, very carefully.
Do you have the time to groom your dogs? A lot of toy dogs need daily grooming which can range from 10 minutes a day to about 40 minutes (detangling).
Smaller dogs tend to be much more vocal. Of course, this depends on the personality of your dog. With all said, I like the Charles Spaniel and pugs :) Here's a website to give you some ideas: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
I would suggest spending time at a kennel, playing with each dog and asking the sales associates about each breed. The most informant method is searching online. [ Juicygirl's advice column | Ask Juicygirl A Question ]
