When it comes to liquid eye liner or pencil eye liner, it's just a personal preference as to which we use. Certain things suit certain people. However, if you ask... chances are that most people will tell you that pencil is a better choice for them. It's a great start for a beginner who is just getting used to it. If you mess up, pencil is A WHOLE LOT easier to clean up and re-do than liquid is. Also, if you plan on carrying it around in a purse or pocket.. you risk the chance that the liquid may ruin [though I don't suggest carrying eye liner in your pocket]. If you DO mess it up, just take a tissue and slowly run it along the rim of your eye lid.. it'll come right up.
And as for products, I think the two best brands of eye liner out there are "Meryl Norman" and "Beautique". "Meryl Norman", which can only be purchased at "The Meryl Norman Cosmetic Studios", is pricey [typically $8.50 - $15.00], but it REALLY IS good stuff. It goes on wonderfully, and stays on all day! On the other hand... I happen to think that "Beautique" is INCREDIBLE!! However, I've ONLY seen "Beautique" at "Sally's". Good news though, it's only .99 cents. TRUST ME.. I would NEVER EVER EVER buy crap make up!!! I get only the best, so please, please, please, please DON'T let this dollar price throw you off - you'd be cheating yourself out of the best product out there!! I'd *PREFER* "Beautique" out of ANY other brand of eye liner on the market!! I could easily go out and buy a $15.00 pencil, but I'd RATHER get "Beautique"! "Beautique" glides on smoothly and REALLY LASTS ALLLLL DAY!!! I CAN NOT promote this item enough!! And if you still have doubts... for only .99 cents.. it's worth a shot!! [:

MAC (expensive, kinda) and NYC (cheap) eyeliner pencils work soooo awesome. They both go on dark and stay on a long time & dont smudge. Liquid eyeliner that goes on nicely, and looks good is Mac. Mac eyeliner is sort-of expensive...but you can go to www.maccosmetcis.com to look at what their prices are. There is different colored mascara like blue and brown..but you cant really tell the difference. Oh and go to your local target for the cheap stuff--sometimes it works better than the really expensive stuff. Good luck =)

yes there is colored mascara you should be able to get it just about anywhere like walmart and target so dont worry lol you can buy it at a normal store

in cvs, theres some mascara thats different colors. i have pink and blue. they have a whole bunch of colors within all their different make up tho. and for eyeliner, just try different stuff and see what you like. theres alot of good eyeliners out there, you just have to find the ones that you like the best.

NYC eyeliner works really good for me. I like liquid at the top and you could use any kind of pencil for the bottom.
Im not sure where you could get colored mascara, sorry!

Hey you can buy liquid or pencil eyeliner from avon.. i personally think liquid is better for the top of your eye but i`d use pencil for the bottom.. you can also get colored mascara from there too.. you can check it out through a book or youravon.com.. ♥ Dez

there are many brands designer brand and drug store brand. mayballine, loreal, convergirl, revlon, ect. the desginer are like, mac, sephora, chanel, dior, este` lauder, stila. i prefer pencil eyeliner over liquid. liquid is messy and stings and you have to be really carefull and skilled when you put it on. pencil can give you a either really dramatic or natural look anything in between. and yes mascara does come in colors. drug stores like wallgreens, rite aid, safeway even can sell them. desgner brands like mac, sephora, ect. all sell them as well.

I'd say go for the waterproof liquid eyeliner <- I swear by it.
And for a dry liner, use Unstoppable.
If you want a pencil liner, use Cool Effects.
Avon sells mascara in navy, I think. I'm not sure about purple and pink though.

I like regular eyeliner I either use Jordana, Loreal, Jane, Avon, Sephora, Maybelline and the other drug store brands.
And yes they do have colored mascara I use blue, brown or black. You can usually find it at drugstore but not always so try Walmart, K-Mart, Target, and other department stores.

Alright one of my favorite stores to go to when I'm on a search for something is Sephora. They have mascaras in all the colors of the rainbow (and more). One of my favorite names in there is Sugar, they have the most adorable stuff! They just happen to have what you need, too. There's something out right now called I Wink 4 Sugar Mini Mascara Set. It's $19 but it has 4 different colors to choose from, all guarenteed adorable.
As for eyeliners, I like estee lauders new retractable ones. You can switch them out and they glide on perfectly. I wouldn't go for liquid eyeliners. If you're a beginner at applying they tend to go all over the place, painfully in your eyes. A cheaper alternative is the Sephora Kohl Pencil. It's 8 bucks a stick and it's also excellent. What i am using now is Clinique, I love the sparkly effect. :)
