Hey I was just wondering...where does it start, that is, STDs. If a guy and a girl are both virgins, is there still a chance? How does it like begin, because it doesn't seem to make sence. If its not infection by spreading it, then what starts them? Thanks - will rate.
MsGolightly answered Sunday October 2 2005, 5:07 pm: HIV/AIDS could be spread by blood mixing ( I read an article once about two people that kissed that had open sores in their mouths, one had HIV & transferred it to the other ), by your mother having it, or by sexual activity as listed by others. shrink2be answered Sunday October 2 2005, 4:52 pm: if the guy and girl are both virgins then they havent had sex yet, if they havent had sex yet then they didnt have sex with someone who had aids or hiv or any other std.
if you have a std and you have unprotected sex, your partner will most likely get the std too. [ shrink2be's advice column | Ask shrink2be A Question ]
sbloemeke answered Sunday October 2 2005, 4:33 pm: AIDs started by a man accidentally cutting himself and blood mingling with an ape. The ape had AIDs. Then, he was homosexual, and it began to spread through homesexuals. Eventually, it got to someone who was bi, and you know the rest of the story.
It comes from someone else really. Other animals have it, or it mutates, and it spreads somehow.
And yes. There is a chance if one of the 2 virgins has used a siringe in their life, as that can also spread aids by use of dirty needles. Or other person-person contact, like surgical procedures that weren't screened...

icey0990 answered Sunday October 2 2005, 3:55 pm: a mother can pass on an std to her child while pregnant..so an std may be passed down to her child..so virgins could have stds if he got it from his mother.
people may be virgins..but stds can be passed down through foreplay (oral sex for example)
feversandmirrors answered Sunday October 2 2005, 3:54 pm: If you guys are both 100% virgins, then yeah, you most likely will not get an STD. It's still safe to get checked anyway. If you're really worried about STDs, you could get checked after every partner you have. This shouldn't be a problem unless you have multiple partners in short periods of times.
However, about the Virgin/STD thing...If either of you have had oral sex with previous partners, STDs can be transferred that way too. Example: Your boyfriend went down on a girl who had herpes. He could then have oral herpes on his mouth, and would transfer it to you through kissing/giving you oral during an outbreak.
If you're going to have sex with a guy, it's just best to know their history. If you two are having sex, you should be open enough with each other to discuss these types of things. And if you don't know his history, use a condom, even if you're on the pill, to prevent STDs.
But most likely, if you're both virgins, you don't have anything. And even if you guys did go down on other people in the past, that doesn't necessarily mean you have and STD either. [ feversandmirrors's advice column | Ask feversandmirrors A Question ]

I've asked my sex-ed teacher about it, and it keeps coming back to "You get it from the person that had it". Which, is understandable. But where did this WHOLE chain start? Who did it start with? How did THEY get if they were a virgin? No one seems to be able to answer it.
But to answer your first question, there is really no chance at all that either of them could end up with an STD.
XoNeLLiE143oX answered Sunday October 2 2005, 3:27 pm: well, there is a chance that you can get STDs if you are a virgin, but thats heredity. The chances are slim to none of getting STDs after having sex with a virgin [ XoNeLLiE143oX's advice column | Ask XoNeLLiE143oX A Question ]
karenR answered Sunday October 2 2005, 3:21 pm: This is the best site for information on STDs.
There are some STDs (like genital warts) that can be got at birth if the mother happened to have them at the time. I believe. When I worked at a doctors office we had two young grade school age girls with them (they were sisters), and I believe that was how that happened.
I think in most cases if both are virgins the chances are slim that either will get an STD from one another. Condom use is still a good idea because no matter how much you like someone...weather or not they are a virgin is an easy thing to lie about.
