I am often called evil for being an atheist. Why is it that christians who supposedly want to spread good will have no problem calling me an immoral godless person?
EvilCheshire answered Wednesday September 21 2005, 8:04 pm: Becuase a lot of christian's are closed minded morons. I'm not going to apologize if that offends anyone. Some christians are awesome, others are just stuck on shoving their beliefs up one's rear and shutting out those who do not accept what they do.

I hate those weird guys who call me weird for being agnostic. I would be Aethiest, but then I'd get kicked out of the Boy Scouts XD Anydangways, some people are extremely Christian and refuse to believe that there possibly be no God, and that God definitely exists as told in the Bible. Well, science proves it false. When I tell them that, their response is "Screw the science, God exists." If God created everything, what created God? XoxBroKeNxoX answered Wednesday September 21 2005, 7:04 pm: Ahh i see. Well im agnostic, so im not really sure. Experience from attending a catholic school is that christians, because of their belief, think people are sinning when others dont believe in God, and they think its offensive against Him. They will try to read their little scripture passages to you to try to get you to change your mind, but sometimes theres not much scientific prood that he ever really did existed, i believe everything existed from a single cell..and blah blah. I dont think there's anything wrong with being athiest, but that might be cuz i dont really have a God-like religon. okay well yeah i hope i helped and didnt ramble on about random things. may God not be with you.
IceAngel13 answered Wednesday September 21 2005, 7:02 pm: Well, I'm a Christian, but I wouldn't call you that. It really depends on the person to how they see someone, some people dont judge people by their religion and I just think that people who say that really have some problems, especially if they say it right to your face. So all in all, it really depends upon the person, and not all christians think like that. [ IceAngel13's advice column | Ask IceAngel13 A Question ]
HectorJr answered Wednesday September 21 2005, 6:59 pm: You are not evil for being atheist. Just like there are people who do good and are athiest or of any religion, so are there people who do wrong and are athiest or any other religion. Firstly, Christians should not be calling you an immoral godless person. Some are misled to believe that if you aren't Christian you will go to hell or something. That is not true. Don't take offence if they or others call you immoral. Chances are you could very well be more moral and do more good than they do. Being a certain religion, or not being one, does not entitle you to certain privlages and titles, although there are certain streotypes for some, which show that ignorance and stupidity.
Anyways, some people, reguardless of what they believe or don't, are narrow-minded. You seem to have encountered some people like that. Don't listen to them or anyone else. If you are a good person, then can they or anyone else really judge you for what you believe in or don't? So yeah, don't let any of that stuff get to you, or make sterotypes by saying 'all Christans do this' or 'anyone who believes in God says that'. Hope that helped. karenR answered Wednesday September 21 2005, 6:44 pm: Easy. Because you don't think like they do.
That's my problem with organized religion of all kinds. If you don't go to THEIR church, or think the way THEY think you should think...you're doomed.
