lactose intolerant? Whenever I eat a large amount of dairy products of any kind, particularly milk, I get this awful painful feeling internally right below my back...and then I get diarrhea. Could I be lactose intolerant?

i've been lactose intolerant since i was 6 years old... Trust me...you most likely are lactose intolerant, so try take lactaid pills (just one or 2 will do) before you drink milk or eat anything dairy. If you still get a bad feeling and diarrhea, go see a doctor about it.
Good luck and keep me posted!! ]
Actually I don't think you are. You said "a lot of dairy prodoucts" right? (Sorry, my information is not accurate. I'm doing this from memory. I saw this on an episode of "Good Eats") Well, dairy has, of course, lactose. There is enzimes in your body that breaks down lactose. As you grow older, you loose more of those enzimes, so you will start getting sick from eating too much dairy products. My advice is to go easy on the dairy. Once again, my information isn't too accurate, but its pretty much the same. ]
Probably. Since only large amounts of dairy will do it, you're probably only mildly lactose intolerant. I reccomend eating dairy in smaller amounts, or getting those pills lactose intolerant people take before they eat, so they can have dairy. ]
um im not sure about the back pain part but the diarrhea part is probably a sign of lactose intolerence...contact a doctor because you probably l.i....also try that lactaid milk- its for l.i people..
IM me for more info...

What I recommend is to drink a differnt type of milk .Talk to your parents about this and tell them to take you to the doctor to examine you just to see if anything is wrong.Yes it could probably be lactose intolerant but to know if it is or not talk to your doctor all about the problem so he could help you out. ]
thats exactly what it is and you should go to the doctor to get mads to get the proper calcium you need

Most likely yes. I'd go to an allegist if I were you, they would be able to give your a test to see if you were. But, it sound very much like it. The painful feeling is probably your body beggining to fight it off and reject it, and seeing it as a virus, caused the diarrhea to try and get it out quickly.
May be wrong, but I am speaking with a lot of confidence here.
