An Ipod is an MP3 player, but anyways,I was going to get an Ipod Mini but I looked into and it didn't really look all that great,so I got a Zen Micro. In my opinion it's better than the Ipod.

An Ipod is an Mp3 player, but it also playes AAC's. Ipods are known to have battery issues that can be a hassle and it costs 50 bucks to get the batteries replaced in them if they cant hold a charge anymore. I have an RCA Lyra, and it's a pretty decent Mp3 player. The only thing that I don't like about it is the battery life, and the fact that it only has 64Mb of memory built in. I have purchased another 64mb SD card, and if you were to buy a 512 or a 1gig card, you have the same amount of space that an ipod shuffle has.

An iPod definitely. They are expensive, but its worth it. A mini costs $200, and can hold a 1,000 songs. And a regular costs $300, and can hold 10,000 songs.

If anything else is needed, just drop it in my inbox.

Personally, I would say an Ipod. But if you are going to get one, don't spare any cost because you'll be suprised how much you use it, etc.

SilentOne answered Tuesday August 23 2005, 3:32 am:
You can get players that are like Mp3 players that don't use Mp3 format. They're generally the better ones I think.
Ipods are cool and everything, and if you wanted it to double as storage (be able to plug it into a USB port and have like a portable HD) then they're pretty good. I think maybe 1 or 2 other players have that functionality, anyway;
Ipods don't have the best sound. They have pretty good sound, and compared so a lot of Mp3 players, they are comparable. If you really want something that is going to sound great, try a different kind of player. What someone said about the HD size being big is wrong, because you can get just as much music storage on other kinds of players.
If you do decide to get a different kind of player for the sound quality, it won't make much difference if you're just going to listen to it on ordinary headphones - you need good quality headphones, or the desire to listen to songs in your car via a radio adaptor, or through a sound system somewhere that has good speakers to hear the difference.
I think that's everything, sorry if it jumps a little from place to place :)

i have an mp3 and its a piece of shit. now i wish i would have spent my $85 on a new CD player or saved up and got a ipod. It only holds 60 songs and if you love music like me that doesnt cut it. You can get memory cards and put about 40 more songs on but thats still not enough for me,everyone is differen though.

Hope i helped.

iPods are mp3 players. But don't get an iPod. Get a Nomad Zen Micro. They're better and cheaper than the iPod Mini (Zen Micro just doesn't have games). But a regular mp3 player doesn't hold as many songs as an iPod or Zen Micro.

Go here to compare prices between iPod and Zen Micro

well usually you can get more storage on a regular mp3 player than you can on an ipod. basically more for your money. ipods are for people you "buy for the label" b/c everyone has one. i have a dell dj. it holds 20 GB for the price of a 4GB ipod. also i like some of the features it has (scrolling bar, calendar, etc.) but its totally up to you. <3

azngemini answered Monday August 22 2005, 10:59 pm:
i think an iPod is wayy better, especially the mini ones. i HAD a mini iPod until i broke it a month ago, but i'm planning on buying a new mini iPod when the new one with a color screen comes out. i kno some people say that there are mp3 players that are cheaper and better than ipods, but like.. who cares?? ipods are so much cooler, and they look hotter than all the other mp3 players. like.. if you walk to school one day with the new mp3 player from Samsung, Iriver, or Zen, you're not going to be getting as much attention as you would if you had the newest iPod

:) hope that helped

They both hold different amounts of music depending on which size you buy/are willing to pay for. I have an mp3 player and although its good, I kind of want an iPod. With an iPod, you can view other song titles, see what song you want to listen to next or whatever whereas an mp3 player, its kind of like a cd player: you have to keep pressing next to find which song you want to listen to next. I don't know how difficult/easy it is to put songs on your iPod, but with an mp3 player its easy. It's like transferring files onto a removable disk (except with songs and you have a plug that goes into your computer that connects to your mp3 player). Its easy. They both have their positives and negatives. I hope I helped!
