Saynotogymclass answered Thursday August 18 2005, 9:38 am: YOU are not the only one with gross feet. there are so many people with weird toes and stuff. You know how I know? Because they all wear flip flops!! Be comfortable with yourself and wear flip flops if you feel like it. If they make fun of you just laugh along!! Not many people realy look at your feet anyway. Dakmor answered Thursday August 18 2005, 8:02 am: Sticks and stones, duckie. Sticks and stones. Trust me, I'm probably the most disformed person you'll ever meet: my shoulders are detatchable, I can turn my arms 540 degrees, I can cross my legs with both legs on top, my ears naturally stick out, I had a crowded mouth, my elbows jut out, my eyelids can flip out, I can suck in my stomach so thin that you can see my spinal cord, I can do a belly dance, I'm an outie, and I can make it look like I have no arms. But do I get teased? Nope! Ya know why? I make it into a joke. I don't just say "Aw man, look, my shoulders are detatched again!" Instead, whenever I meet someone new, I use it to break the ice: "Hey, look at this cool thing I can do!" If that doesn't work for you, sticks and stones knows all. SilentOne answered Thursday August 18 2005, 6:24 am: Wear full shoes around your friends. I'm so sorry if the next bit sounds like a sick joke, but I'm serious...
TAKE UP SWIMMING! You'd be awesome! Everybody at the pool would be your buddy if you used your 'talents' for what they would be good at. It's not always a bad thing to have a deformity. Many people born with an extra finger take up the piano. As long as it's not something that's going to affect your badly, then it's not so bad.
If your friends really take the piss out of you - if they're really being mean about it, then you're probably in with the wrong friends. That's not the spirit of friendship, it's the attitude of a shallow clique.
Hope you can find something good in the problem that isn't really there :)
Curemysadness answered Thursday August 18 2005, 5:00 am: There are a lot of summer shoes that you can wear that cover the front part of your feet, or your toes. Don't be ashamed of the things you have no control over. I'm sure your friends care about you and wouldn't want to intentially hurt you, they are probably just teasing you to get a laugh. They are not perfect either. Nobody is! They all have flaws and faults as well..those of which may or may not be as noticable as you feel your "webbed-feet" are. If it really bothers you when your friends laugh at you or say stuff about your feet, tell them! If they are true friends, they should understand and stop the jokes. GirlShrink answered Thursday August 18 2005, 4:30 am: Listen you!
Ashton Kutcher has the same thing. He made a success out of his life - so what do you care about those "friends".
We all have little imperfections that we have to work with or work around - I have a million moles on my back - so I never wear a halter. That's just what it is and I'm fine with it. And you will learn to be too. It's just part of who you are. Don't let it define you.
