hoopstar24 answered Wednesday August 10 2005, 5:39 pm: ok first of all you need to include how tall u are it really matters if you're like 5"8 and are 14 years old and weigh 150lbs you cant compare yourself to your friend who may be 90 lbs but like 5"1. because thats what happened to me. personally i dont think you're fat but my advice to you is drink lots of water and run really thats about all you need. i dont know about all the special diets but i do know, water, exercising and sleep help alot! HectorJr answered Wednesday August 10 2005, 3:59 pm: sleep. sleep. and sleep. in that order. Look at it this way. This is probably the easiest way to start other than counting carbs or points or anything. True, diet and exercise are the best and safest way to lose weight, but also with that you need sleep. Your body needs food why? For energy, simple as that. If you don't get enough sleep, you dont replenish energy you used during the day, and your body is forced to find a different form of energy, which would be food. So yes, diet does not mean starve yourself, just eat healthy. Exercise doesn't mean over do it until it hurts; break a sweat and stick to easy long-distance running and biking. Sleep is the key, most people tend to miss that, and wonder why diet and exercise don't work. 8+ hours is what you should look for. Take it easy and good luck! *drink lots of water! no soft drinks!
*don't eat a lot of salt bc that makes you retain water wich means water weight!
*if you do get hungary have a little snack like fruit or veggies!
*run,do crunches, swim, or any other excercises everyday!

xcheerbabex108 answered Wednesday August 10 2005, 2:24 pm: How tall are you? If your short you may look "chunkier" or whatever. If your tall, being 150 lbs is totally normal. You'll have to drop your height in my inbox or else I can't really give advice. And if you don't, the only way yo lose weight is just eat healthier (all the time-even after you have your weight lost) and exercise. Diets are just for a period time and sometimes can be dangerous. Because of your age and the weight that you are it is very important to Talk to Your Doctor About Sensible Goals.
Your doctor or other health worker can help you set sensible goals based on a proper weight for your height, build and age.
Men and very active women may need up to 2,500 calories daily. Other women and inactive men need only about 2,000 calories daily. A safe plan is to eat 300 to 500 fewer calories a day to lose 1 to 2 pounds a week.
Do at least 30 minutes of exercise, like brisk walking, most days of the week.
The idea is to use up more calories than you eat. You need to use up the day's calories and some of the calories stored in your body fat.
Tips for Cutting Calories and Fat
Eat plenty of vegetables, fruits, and grain products like bread and rice.
Eat only small, single servings of foods high in fat or calories.
Eat less sugar and fewer sweets.
Choose foods whose labels say low, light or reduced to describe calories or fat.
Choose 1 percent or skim milk products and reduced fat cheeses.
Replace ice cream with fat-free frozen yogurt.
Replace sour cream with fat-free or low-fat plain yogurt.
Make sure fish, poultry and meat are lean. Trim skin and fat.
Broil, roast or steam foods.
