okay yeah i have a bad temper or w/e... but i started liking My Chemical Romance before the became more popular then all these people i know start saying "oh my gosh! my chemical romane is the best band ever i love them!" and the know helena from trl... thats the only song they know. i know about 15 songs of theres. and i loved hot topic since years ago, and these people are like "oh my gosh how could you go in there? that store is for creeps and blah blah blah" and i'm like no... and they carry a lot of cool band shirts and stuff! i mean? and they say the love MCR and they wouldn't even take one step into a hot topic even for $10 to get one of their shirts?? is this a poser? i kinda dunno if this is the true definition or w/e...
Those people are very poser, and the next time they say anything about them, ask them past history about My Chemical Romance, and see what they say. :] [ Hollister's advice column | Ask Hollister A Question ]
modelkate11 answered Friday August 12 2005, 12:08 am: a poser is someone who acts like something they're not. you're not a poser and i dont' think they are either because they were just introduced to My Chemical Romance through MTV or the radio or something. they'll get over it
shutupnkissme98 answered Thursday August 11 2005, 5:52 pm: well im not really sure about those people but they pertty much sound like posers to me. a poser is just someone whos trying to be someone they arent or like someone they really dont just because its "kool".everyone has a different opinion about what a poser is exactly.hope i helped XoXo [ shutupnkissme98's advice column | Ask shutupnkissme98 A Question ]
coolwater answered Thursday August 11 2005, 5:54 am: In my opinion they really are posers. Who could like MCR when they can't like a little gothic stuff. If it buggs you tell them the truth! Hope this helps and the meaning of poser is like an imposter, a person who tries to pretend just to fit in. Tell them! Much luck to you! [ coolwater's advice column | Ask coolwater A Question ]
Alpha345 answered Wednesday August 10 2005, 1:00 pm: Yeah I would agree with you on that. You can't base your love of a certain musical group on just one song, because if you do that is being a poser. You need to know all the bands music to really be able to decide if you love the band and their music, you can't base it all on one song that MTV or the radio plays all the time because then yes, you are being a poser on that music.
X0C0URT answered Wednesday August 10 2005, 11:35 am: Oh wow I feel the EXACT same way about Fall Out Boy. Everyone likes them now they are on MTV but they only know the one song. I think it's kinda funny though. Just remember that you are a true MCR fan and you can have the pleasure of knowing that you know much more about them than all those other people. I'm not a big fan of the word "poser" but I think these people are being a little fake. Just try not to worry about it so much. I've learned to just like the music I like and not care about other people's opinion of it. And remember that for them, MCR is just a fad. In a few weeks they'll have a new band to obsess over on MTV. :-)
lookthroughme answered Wednesday August 10 2005, 10:48 am: Yeah that's a poser and I fucking hate them. My Chemical Romance was my favorite band when their first CD came out, and when I could ask people if they'd heard of them and the response would always be "Uhh who?". But once the new CD came out, and I'm Not Okay (I Promise) got on MTV and blew up, not because it's good, but because it's catchy, EVERYONE LOVED THEM. And it killed me. It sucks when an amazing band like that sells out and acts like a bunch of whiney little boys.
Sorry about the rant, that's a very touchy subject for me.

aec111690 answered Wednesday August 10 2005, 1:15 am: oh man i totally agree. i hate people like that. trl and all of mtv is descusting. no thats not a "true definition" but it just pisses me off. i think you should go and punch them in the face or something. if you dont wanna wear a bands shirt then you must not support them at all. hot topic is an okay store its not scary at all. it would just be funny if they walked in with an american eagle or abercrombie shirt. so anyways flat out they suck badly.
Razhie answered Tuesday August 9 2005, 10:57 pm: My advice, get over it.
You shouldn't be wasting your energy stressing over hypocritical or dumb people. There are so many in the world you could drive yourself mad worrying about them.
Stop caring what other people think, or if they are as true a fan as you are. It's not important. Just keep doing your thing, and if what they say really bothers you, walk away. [ Razhie's advice column | Ask Razhie A Question ]
